I am still working on the friending meme ;) Am about halfway done.



But what I want to talk about in this post, is the incredible gorgeousness of Return of the Condor Heroes. I ended up going screencap mad, and I haven’t even gotten to the scenes of them playing in the snow (and she is dying, and it’s her wish to spend her last days happily like this. So kdrama). I am also in love with Yang Guo. Seriously? Long hair, wicked sword skills, leather boots, and undying and steadfast devotion to only one woman? WIN. I love it when he tells her that if they don’t find a cure for her, then it doesn’t matter that there is no cure for him (from something else. I’ve lost track of how many different ways they’ve been poisoned). And when she says he must live, he matter of factly tells her that there is nothing in this world worth living for, but her. And later, she tells him to marry HV girl (who is actually very sweet) as that way her Mom would give him a cure, and he tells her there is no way (just as he told the evil Mother: ‘I’d rather be dead than be an unfaithful husband’) and then asks her: ‘if there was a man who offered to cure you in exchange for you hand, would you do it?’ And when she replies she is a woman so it’s different, he says there is no difference between men and women. Yang Guo is a long haired, sword-fighting feminist. YES.

Also, this is a rare otp that doesn’t bore me at all when they are together. They work so well in sync.

You know how I am the ultimate canon hor, right? If it's in canon, I'll like it OK, shipwise.

WTF.

lesbiassparrow reminded me. WTF. Little Women. Why on earth did Jo and Laurie not end up together? Is there anyone out there who ships Jo/Bauer? Seriously. A friend of mine literally threw her book across the room when she got to that point.

Also, Mansfield Park. When I was younger, I even wrote Henry/Fanny fic. Edmund+Fanny are total priggish incest. Though they can preach at each other all day long. Yikes. Come on, Henry is the only one with a sense of humor in that book. I sort of get how Spike/Buffy shippers felt now.
