Even though I feel disloyal to Koala, I could so get on-board this train! The abs don't hurt.

Speaking of good-looking, I am simply agog to watch the upcoming King of Lan Ling, a war epic/love story which apparently is based on a legend about a warrior king so gorgeous he had to wear a mask into battle so as not to distract people (so like Chinese Finnick? :P) It's Ariel Lin's comeback to period cdramas and I love her in them, and it stars my darling Feng Shao Feng as the titular character. RAWR:



Though I confess, much as I adore FSF, I think it's a bit of a stretch to label him an unearthly beauty. I'd say Wallace Huo, who is so gorgeous it's unreal, or Huang Xiao Ming, who's pretty much perfection in human form, would fit the bill much better. And ditto Kevin Cheng, Chen Kun and Hu Ge. Also possibly Nic Tse. But not really FSF, attractive though I find him.

Finally, Nicky Wu is doing Bride with White Hair. I simply MUST watch that when it's out. Ahh, cdramas, always wonderful.

Oh, I cannot cannot wait. And not just because I am a hopeless Huang Xiaoming fangirl. It just looks ridiculously awesome and what I love. And seeing that it will apparently be aired on HBO (!!! Yes, make this a trend, pls), I won't be left bereft, pining for subs.

I am not as excited for this as I am for Chu-Han Contention but I am coming close.

I apologize because I know I have been posting like a chipmunk on speed but I must share.

I have been obsessed with watching An Xiang, Huang Xiaoming's drama, with my kryptonite "they are fake lovers who fall for each other for real" OTP, for literally years.

And DoReMii has just subbed the first three eps! My quest to get my hands on Huang Xiao Ming dramas is one step closer!

Also, has HXM has EVER been in anything that is not bone-crushingly angsty?

Rhetorical question, I know. The man does cdramas, after all.

Btw, the tags are not a joke - there are some drama actors I like more than HXM, but none of them do I find hit me with their gorgeousness the way he does. Something about him just bypasses my sanity and goes straight for the lizard part of the brain.

What is it with Taiwan and creating groups based on fictional characters the group members portrayed?

I thought F4 was an abberation, but I found out today that the five guys who play the Wu Hu Jiang (a.k.a. Five Tiger Generals) in K.O. 3an Guo were all put in a band called...what else? Wu Hu Jiang...during the filming of the drama and continued as a group since.

That's. Sort. Of. Insane.

Also, because my sole exposure* to these guys is via KO 3an Guo, I am left wondering whether they kick audience members in the teeth in-between songs.

* I've seen George Hu, who plays Guan Yu, in two other things before, and he was also a martial artist in one of them.

Oh, and also Zhou Yu's band Champion is a real-life group, but it was a group before the drama, they just stuck them all in there, which is nowhere nearly as weird.

Oh, and the actresses who play the sisters Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao are sisters in real life. Heh.

In news that do not have to do with KO, Doremii has just moved An Xiang a.k.a. Dark Fragrance from their list of possible future projects to current projects. OMG!!! I feel like I am the only non-Chinese fluent individual who is obsessed with watching it, but obsessed I am. Huang Xiao Ming, my first cdrama crush, in suits and angsting and with a happy ending! Bring it on!
