But what I want to talk about in this post, is the incredible gorgeousness of Return of the Condor Heroes. I ended up going screencap mad, and I haven’t even gotten to the scenes of them playing in the snow (and she is dying, and it’s her wish to spend her last days happily like this. So kdrama). I am also in love with Yang Guo. Seriously? Long hair, wicked sword skills, leather boots, and undying and steadfast devotion to only one woman? WIN. I love it when he tells her that if they don’t find a cure for her, then it doesn’t matter that there is no cure for him (from something else. I’ve lost track of how many different ways they’ve been poisoned). And when she says he must live, he matter of factly tells her that there is nothing in this world worth living for, but her. And later, she tells him to marry HV girl (who is actually very sweet) as that way her Mom would give him a cure, and he tells her there is no way (just as he told the evil Mother: ‘I’d rather be dead than be an unfaithful husband’) and then asks her: ‘if there was a man who offered to cure you in exchange for you hand, would you do it?’ And when she replies she is a woman so it’s different, he says there is no difference between men and women. Yang Guo is a long haired, sword-fighting feminist. YES.
Also, this is a rare otp that doesn’t bore me at all when they are together. They work so well in sync.

I know I already capped the hell out of the wedding but whatever. I lust love how they are totally ignoring homicidal monks, because it’s their wedding day, dammit:

Nothing like a sweet romantic getaway. And then there is running away from a homicidal mob:

Hiding, and she is ill, and he is helping her walk:
One way to go on your honeymoon:
He wins at life for being able to make a girl smile like this even when she is dying:
But then look at him!
Evil monks are not impressed:
OMG, hotness! He is moistening her lips:
He carries her into the chest:
Expires of adorableness:
Back at the Tomb for the ‘wedding night.’ I sort of died here:
She is lying to ill to move:
And he is lighting the candles and looking at her (I really love how steady he is in these scenes. He’s grown up so much):
OMG, she changes into wedding garments. And they just hold each other, and joke, and are happy, and she is terrified of dying but she is still happy because she is with him. Yeah, I screencapped the hell out of this scene:
And she is afaid if she closes her eyes to sleep, she won’t open them again, and never see him (I cried, I confess):
He is trying to soothe her:
But of course the problem is he is devastated himself:

Plus, there is the minor fact that the bride just killed one of their chief monks for being a rapist.
But yes, after seeing the monks on this drama, I am all for secular atheistic society :P
I know you intend to watch ROCH at some point (after My Girl et al). May I recommend you skip the first three eps? They don't tell anything you can't get from the story (he is brought up by her in a cave) and that kittle kid was the most annoying thing known to man. Even I had to ff like mad.

Btw, this drama does have a lot of fights (some with odd cgi). I largely ff past them, unless our otp is fighting, because I am here for the goop, not the blood :D
