Or is it going to make my One Tree Hill watching seem pleasant in comparison? After all it does have Katie "Kidnapped by the cult" Holmes and James "oldest and baldest teen ever" Van Der Beek...

I've tried one episode of BSG but it just struck me as weird and boring. It's probably the kind of thing where you have to see a couple of episodes to get into it?

The pics are very cute, but he isn't. Also, not tall. Maybe he's got a sizzling personality? I didn't think Logan was hot either, so there's always hope...

Naw, he isn't cute at all (even though, everything better than the Beek), but I do remember him having charisma and acting abbility. Not enough to keep me drawn to the show, but he struck me as fairly good. Plus you know me, can't stand pure relationship based shows.

On Dawson's Creek I liked the coupling of Pacey with his earlier girlfriend Audrey. And I liked Jenn (who was always trying to be the moody/bitchy/slutty one) being romances by a babyfaced footballplayer whom she keeps rejecting because he is one year younger than her. That was a very sweet storyline from what I remember (they do get together eventually, don't know how it ended though, because I had stopped watching at that point).

Yeah, BSG is one of those really complicated concepts shows and if you come in, in the middle, you are a bit lost. I do recommend renting the first few eps of season 1. I know you get interested in concepts, and this one is quite good. Plus, no severe dragged out UST.

Ah, I'll see. After all I do like SciFi a lot. Then again, I don't really need a new show right now. Plus? I thought Firefly was very, very boring. And I saw all episodes except the never shown on tv ones (and I think I even saw one of those).

Well, YMMV of course.

Btw, I saw some more Pacey pictures, and I am out. Yuck. Both he and Dawson are WASPily hideous. Meh.

LOL, you wont miss that much ;) (again the show had like 7 or 9 seasons? I saw like half a season; so I'm not your biggest expert)

Besides, chances are that it's probably pretty dated at this point anyway.

They had some extremely hysterical shipper wars though :D

9 seasons? 9?????? Good Lord.

Yeah, nothing brings on them shipper wars the way triangles do. I am kinda surprised about the lack of shipper wars in Veronica Mars, so far.

I just looked it up and apparently they only had 6 seasons after all. Still felt too frikking long to me and I wasn't even watching (I could just tell based on how long the shipper wars were going on).

I think the problem was the Joey and Dawson were like the intended childhood sweetheart couple. But then Joey/Pacey happened, had a lot of fans, lots of chemistry, people started pushing for it and in the end they (potentially) changed the originally changed the original end around so Joey and Pacey could end up together.

Of course, I was never truely part of the fandom (I'm just one of those schadenfreude onlooker when fandoms I don't care about duke it out), so I might be getting this all wrong.

Ever tried Dark Angel? Another scifi-ish show I could never really get into. And it's relatively short I think (only two or three seasons).

Dark Angel didn't finish its story arcs, so I am staying away...

What can I say? I wouldn't know, I wasn't watching :D

My other suggestions are still Lois&Clark (for campy fun) or La Femme Nikita (for lots of crazy angst).

I saw some L&C long time ago, and not high pressure enough for me.

As to Le Femme Nikita, I object on principle to someone naming a female Nikita. It's a male Russian name, pretty common one too. It's like Having a character called Good Girl Michael. Yuck.

Darn, I'm racking my brain trying to think of any other shows which were infamous for their couples, but I'm drawing a blank.

Of course, there's always the X-Files. But you might not want to wait 9 seasons just to see them hug ;9

Audrey was later. She was Joey's college roommate. You meant Jack's sister?

I mean the crazy blonde one. I always thought that she was before Joey. Could have been that she was Jack's sister.

Did I get her name wrong?

Oh wait, it was Andy, not Audrey, right?

Her name was Andy and she was Jack's sister. But both Audrey and Andy were crazy blondes albeit in different ways.

You're the only person I've ever heard of that shipped Pacey/Andy. I heard that she was written off of the show due to her extreme unpopularity.

Gah! I really am revealing a shameful amount of Creek knowledge.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Although I wouldn't really call my behavior regarding DC shipping. It's more like "I liked them when they were onscreen/they did no bug me".

Fondness of couples I have quite a lot. Actual shipper insanity is reserved for very few couples.

Yeah, that's me, pick the most obscure couple there is and I'll totally go for it.

Plus, apparently there were at least some people (not that I knew because I was never really in the fandom).

Well, it's good that were some people out there loving it.

There's something for everyone.

I'm all for obscure couples in theory but am often shamefully predictable in my own shipping preferences.

It's the rule of the internet. Everything, no matter how obscure is shipped by at least somebody it seems :)

I actually appreciated the cuteness of Pacey/Andie in S2. It was never OTP status, but their relationship forced Pacey to grow up in a lot of ways, which I loved. Yay, character development.

And I have all this Creek knowledge, which is...fairly shameful, now that I think about it.
