Should I give Dawson's Creek a chance?

Or is it going to make my One Tree Hill watching seem pleasant in comparison? After all it does have Katie "Kidnapped by the cult" Holmes and James "oldest and baldest teen ever" Van Der Beek...

I just looked it up and apparently they only had 6 seasons after all. Still felt too frikking long to me and I wasn't even watching (I could just tell based on how long the shipper wars were going on).

I think the problem was the Joey and Dawson were like the intended childhood sweetheart couple. But then Joey/Pacey happened, had a lot of fans, lots of chemistry, people started pushing for it and in the end they (potentially) changed the originally changed the original end around so Joey and Pacey could end up together.

Of course, I was never truely part of the fandom (I'm just one of those schadenfreude onlooker when fandoms I don't care about duke it out), so I might be getting this all wrong.

Ever tried Dark Angel? Another scifi-ish show I could never really get into. And it's relatively short I think (only two or three seasons).

What can I say? I wouldn't know, I wasn't watching :D

My other suggestions are still Lois&Clark (for campy fun) or La Femme Nikita (for lots of crazy angst).

I saw some L&C long time ago, and not high pressure enough for me.

As to Le Femme Nikita, I object on principle to someone naming a female Nikita. It's a male Russian name, pretty common one too. It's like Having a character called Good Girl Michael. Yuck.

Darn, I'm racking my brain trying to think of any other shows which were infamous for their couples, but I'm drawing a blank.

Of course, there's always the X-Files. But you might not want to wait 9 seasons just to see them hug ;9
