Song on a Friday morning...
May. 23rd, 2008 10:07 amGLAY remains one of the extremely rare exceptions to my absorbing lack of interest in Japanese music of any stripe (I think early exposure to scary Johnnys Entertainment/Jimucho, whatever one of the two is the correct way to refer to them, scarred me for life*). It helps that they are actually what I think of when I think of a band: i.e. a group of people who had common tastes in music and joined together to play instruments and sing, writing their own stuff, not the odd thing that I find JE or SuperJunior or whatnot, where they hire pretty people and train them to do stuff.
I am so addicted to the above song it's not funny.
*It's my not-so-well-kept secret that even though I like some of the guys in Johnnys as actors (Kimura, Yamapi, Matsujun, Takki), I always feel 'relieved' if I am watching a drama with a non-Johnny's person in the role(s) because the concept of Johnny's freaks me out.
