Had a very long day today, saw fjords and other places of unimaginable (almost) beauty but I am brain dead so about it later.

For now: BASARA!!!!!!

I had through volume 6 and finished those on the train. I confess through volume 3 I was rather disgruntled. Is this what the fuss is about? I didnæt like the art style, I mildly liked Sarasa and Ageha and wanted to drown everyone else, Shuri included, which considering he is the male protagonist, is a problem.

But somehow, with volume 4 it all clicked for me and now I love it and want to get more. I still find the artwork rather rough, and wish the story had less fighting and beards. BUT. It's interesting, a lot, and I love Shuri as a character (though would want to stay far away from him) and Sarasa and the two of them together and can't wait until they find out the truth. Yeah, I got proper meta later.

Also, spoiled self for ending of Dog/Wolf and yay. YAY. Awesome. alexandral, you will love it.

I miss dramas. Vacation is a great deal of fun, but am having a withdrawal :)

I did find a manga shop so I guess my geekiness is a sort of magnet (and Stockholm does look a little like a Miyazaki dream of a European city, according to Mr. Mousie).

So, did 'Time of Dog and Wolf' finish yet? and what happened? Spoilllllllllllllll me!!!

My love for Why Why Love is reaching a crazy, combustible stage. I am becoming incapable of watching any other drama at the same time, always a bad sign. :) But it's so pitch-perfect, in its portrayal of friendship and love and funniness and a little bit of angst.

I started ep 11 and barely ten minutes into it had to stop to go somewhere but oh, such a big grin on my face.

And I cheated and sneaked a bit at ep 13 and preview for 14. These two I will watch together. ( spoilers for that )

I am currently watching ep 10 of Why Why Love with lainemma's subs and guuuuuuuuh...every time I think I can't love Huo Da more, he proves me wrong. I LOVE HIM SO. He is my drama boyfriend hands down, funny and sweet and totally caring and boyish and....

Yup, still into Bednaya Nastya. Heeee. Lookie what I found. (I'd embed but it's disabled). This is Anna and Vladimir's first on-screen interaction. Oh Lord. So much chemistry (and I love when he forces himself not to touch her, or has to loosen his collar before going in) but seriously. Heeee. I think the world would be a much better place if people just got distributed copies of Hana Yori Dango at birth and so got to know that expressing your like through insult would just lead to unnecessarily hard work to win the girl over, and probable beating by goons. Young man, you could totally save yourself 120 episodes of angst and snow (well, perhaps not the latter), if you were nice to her in the first place. However, Vladimir apparently belongs to the school of thought that believes that your strong liking for the girl should be expressed as follows when you walk in to her playing piano:

1. Asking WTF are serfs doing playing instead of proper serf-type things?
When she replies his father doesn't mind:
2. Stating that one of these days she might be whipped (for being an unserfy serf I imagine. Though it would be a REALLY different drama then, LOL, and probably not on mainstream tv).
3. Telling her since she has to obey all his orders (as he is the owner's son), she should go and shine his boots and buy him champagne (though the way he looks, there are some other orders he'd like to give instead).

And off we go...:P

I am in the middle of ep 9 now, and I love it, and Jia Die, and Huo Da more than ever.

If I didn't adore Huo Da before, I would after the whole thing with Xiao Nan.
