dangermousieMy love for Why Why Love is reaching a crazy, combustible stage. I am becoming incapable of watching any other drama at the same time, always a bad sign. :) But it's so pitch-perfect, in its portrayal of friendship and love and funniness and a little bit of angst.
I started ep 11 and barely ten minutes into it had to stop to go somewhere but oh, such a big grin on my face.
It's funny, I started this drama loving Huo Yan but while I still think he is very nice blah blah, every time he is on screen I want him to get off so I could go back to the incredible sweetness of Huo Da/Jia Di.
I also love how Jia Di's Mom likes Huo Da (and is sort of advocating his 'cause' heee). And that's the thing. With HD, you can see her Mom or friends at ease because HD is so impulsively warm and also very boyish. I think they would be a little in awe of Huo Yan and HY is also, of course, reserved and so not as good at letting people close.

Awwwww. Aunti Qin thanks him. Did I mention the adorablenss of the dinner, and Jia Di's Mom being all cozy with him:
OMG. They are walking to the bus station, holding hands!
Such sweetness, as they are still holding hands, and he is stroking her hair, with the other hand, and she is leaning into his shoulder:
Eeeeee! Jia Di's Mom brought them food for the trip back home!
He makes her grin like this :)
Looking at Mom's food and then he tells Jia Di again, unprompted:
I am dead of the cute:
And I cheated and sneaked a bit at ep 13 and preview for 14. These two I will watch together. Because the angst killed me, and oh, he is trying to leave her so she won't be hurt and aaaaaaaah! I know they are going to have a happy ending but I can't bear to think of HD thinking he will die, and poor lost JD, she will definitely think she brings bad luck to everyone she gets close to. Argh. I will wait for 14 before I watch 13.

And WWL definitely beats DBY, hands down. Like you said, the perfect pitch of it. And I love that it manages to be adorable, but not over-the-top cheesy like DBY.
