I cannot wait to go see Jhoom Barabar Jhoom this weekend. It's about two strangers who meet in a train station and fall in love. It's largely a comedy but then it has a song like this:

I've started watching 3-Iron with Mr. Mousie and we both like it a lot, so far.

Though, My, My. That's a lot of Jae Hee :P Not that it's a bad thing, mind ya.

And really random thought. I know everyone realized it but me a long time ago, but I finally figured: for me it's not the story but how it's being told. I thought of that after watching and squeeing over Tara Rum Pum trailer. If I saw a trailer for a HW movie like that, I'd think 'meh' and not have any interest at all. But here, because I love the way Bolly tells stories, I am all for it.

And really random thought. I know everyone realized it but me a long time ago, but I finally figured: for me it's not the story but how it's being told. I thought of that after watching and squeeing over Tara Rum Pum trailer. If I saw a trailer for a HW movie like that, I'd think 'meh' and not have any interest at all. But here, because I love the way Bolly tells stories, I am all for it.

I am totally addicted to the thought of Tara Rum Pum, an upcoming Bolly movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji about a car racer and his family and his accident and all the other awesome stuff.

I hate the word ‘magyk’ even more than the word ‘shoppe.’ Fake-rustic-cutesy and makes me think of pretentious people who need a spell-check.

Oooh, Hrithik is finally getting snarky:

Q: John Abraham says you’re the most gorgeous man. Comment.
A: I guess I’d say thank you and give him a thesaurus as a birthday gift.

Ahhhh, the slash possibilities :P

And I have read up on Gantz anime and it sounds fantastic, must watch. It’s a 26-episode anime about a number of people who are transported at the moment of their death to an enclosed room and are forced to participate in a Battle Royale type game. It centers around Kei Kurono, who died with his best friend, after they attempted to save a hobo from train tracks.

It sounds really really good:



I have also read the first volume of Tenshi Ja Nai!! and not sure what to think of it. The heroine goes to an all-girls school but her roomie is a boy in drag (and I assume eventual bf). It lostme though because in order to make her keep the secret he took a hidden topless pic of her. I don't care if he is cross-dressing to earn $$$ for his comatose father's medical bills. He lost me from then on. Oh well.

I love this pic below because I think it’s cute. Bollyholics on my flist (and the people who saw me post about it before) know that Bolly stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan recently got engaged. I really like the both (as actors, as I don’t know them as people, obviously. I do know Abhi is 6 ‘3” which I find verrrrrry appealing).

Below is a pic from recent Filmfare Awards. She is presenting Best Supporting Actor award for him. Heeeeeee. AWESOMENESS. (I thought he was the best thing in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and not because I don’t adore SRK who was lead).

One of my reasons for loving the Indian film industry known as Bollywood is the incredible music and musical numbers in their movies. And guess what? I discovered so many of them on youtube. So to share the wealth and maybe to interest people in checking some out, I bring you some of my finds.

My favorite ever Bollywood picturization. Kajol and Shahrukh Khan steam up the screen in 'Suraj Hua Maddam' from Kabhi Khushi Kabie Gham, a sprawling family epic. Shahrukh is the adopted eldest son of a very rich, traditional family. Kajol is the madcap daughter of a poor guy. Can we say 'forbidden?' I adore the movie (though the first half more than the second), not the least because it has a great soundtrack. At the beginning of this, he confessed his feelings.

Then it's most likely the famous 'gazebo' scene in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a Bollywood movie starring the super-couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. (It alterntates between that and the scene in the fields in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, also starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol).

For those who are not familiar with KKHH, the couple in the gazebo are Anjali (Kajol) and Rahul (SRK). They have been best friends since college and she's loved him all this time but he never saw her as more than a friend. In fact he married someone else, but is now a widower (and has been for eight or so years). But then they meet again, and sparks fly, but now she is engaged to someone else. Anyway, this is an amazing scene...



The way Shahrukh Khan looks at her makes my insides turn into all sorts of butter. Guh. Like nothing else exists. Grrrr, make more movies Shahrukh! Come on, you are my favorite Bolly actor, now work work work ;) And the way Kajol looks at him? As if it's everything she's ever wanted? *dies*
