One of my fave scenes from East of Eden.

Mmmm.

Shippy.

In other news, Viikii apparently also has Tazza with subs. *scream*

I know what I am watching once I catch up on my East of Eden (one ep) and Kingdom of the Winds (2 ep) backlog. Which does mean I will be watching three two-hour+ shows a week. 7 hours. Whoa.

The other two big-ticket dramas of the season. Painter of the Wind and Beethoven Virus neither seem to draw me in. PotW looks gorgeous in all the stills, but for some reason I am getting the sense of detail-oriented and slow-moving and not really my thing. Better as a movie than a drama, if that makes sense. I am not a huge fan of any of the actors so there is no inducement there.

As to BV, maybe I am just burned out on romcom dramas lately. Or maybe I sense the gigantic potential of the ending tp turn into another Powerful Opponents mess (yes, am still bitter over that :P). Or maybe I just like bigger stakes this season: revenge and redemption of Tazza, fights for the Kingdom and family and very existence of KotW, revenge and rise against opression in EoE. So the whole 'will an orchestra work' doesn't seem to compete.

Or maybe I am just shallow and Song Seung Heon, Song Il Gook and Jang Hyuk are much more appealing to me than the male leads of BV and PotW :P

(KOH is such a pretty drama!)

I am trying and failing to keep with kdramas this season. Unlike the summer season where there was nothing I wanted to watch, now there are 5 (!!!) I want to watch.

* Beethoven Virus: I like the cast and the story seems adorable and kooky but I am going to hold off until it's done because it has the potential of either being incredibly good or having the ending which is entirely rage-making (see: Powerful Opponents). Also, I am rooting for Jang Geun Suk to get the girl. Which might be iffy as he is not first-billed. Come on, you can do it, Emo Prince!

* East of Eden: I am dying to watch this. Family sagas! Revenge! We all know the real reason I want to watch it is Song Sang Heon without his shirt. I am going to make some time to catch up. Plus, the cast makes me gibber with fangirlishness and the latest ep was over 28% ratings which is insane!

* Kingdom of the Winds. I saw most of the first ep and loved it (I love period epics) but three eps are already subbed. I am so behind. But Song Il Gook! As an abandoned son of the King! With awesome fight skills, OTP, and production values out of this world.

* Tazza just started and I am dying to watch. Yeah, yeah, the plot is interesting and Han Ye Seul is lovely, but mainly I am curious whether I will be able to withstand the combined hotness of Jang Hyuk and Kim Min Joon on screen at the same time or spontaneously combust.

* And Painter of the Wind is about to start. I am dying to see it. The leads are both awesome, it's a period story, and the whole thing about a woman pretending to be a man so she could study painting and also avenge her father's murder? Oh yes. Yes please.

Argh! I want to watch all 5 (though holding off on BV). Wheeeeen? Neeed time!

OK, here is a list of the upcoming kdramas I am excited by. There are so many. And a lot of them seem to promise awesome heroines and swashbucking heroes.

Enter here for multiple Robin Hoods, cross-dressing female painters, lady bodyguards, chefs, assassins, and swashbuckling academics )

Must make a list like this for jdramas and twdramas
