Is it me, or has LJ been kinda dead lately? Is everyone off to tumblr? It's kinda sad, because even though I suppose I can always get my own tumblr, I loved the conversations that used to happen and tumblr isn't much on conversations - pretty caps and gifs, sure, meta, not so much. Boooo!

Surprisingly, the second ep of Big continued to be charming. And I definitely ship Kyung Joon in Young Jae's body with Lee Min Jung. I mean:

I've had a tumblr for close to a year now, and have yet to figure out how to reply to most posts. I do wish LJ and DW had tumblr's "like" function, as that's pretty handy for being sure to acknowledge a post even if you don't have anything to actually say in response. But yes, I think a lot of people have migrated there, and to something called Pinterest, though I actually have no idea what that is.

Oh, I'm still around, but am traipsing through a potpourri of fandoms these days. And no, I don't have a tumblr, but I appreciate it for what it is? I'm rather old-fashioned when it comes to my social media -- I've always been a fan of text-based discussion, which is why I'm still on LJ!

I've noticed that too. I think maybe since it's summer time people may be on vacation or relaxing. I miss a lot of the discussions about dramas as well. However, you always have something to say and it's fun to discuss things on your posts. So please don't be discouraged!

I'm reading great things about BIG from a lot of people lately. Usually the teacher/student thing creeps me out but the drama looks so cute that I may be able to overlook it.

OH ,a little off topic I know, I LOVE Bridal Mask so far. It comes off a little cartoonish/stilted in some instances but I love the drama anyway. I also think that in some ways Bridal Mask works better than City Hunter. I know you love Nana but I felt that the writers didn't give her much to do or much development. Mok Dan on the other hand has her own extensive backstory and things going on other than being the love interest.

I do not have tumblr. This time of year is always busy! Also there are so many dramas airing or that just finished airing that I want to see that I have less time to come and discuss on lj!

Saw the 1st episode of BIG and I am pleased with it! Can't wait for more!

I've noticed LJ has been really quite. I have a tumblr, but I still post a lot here. (Mostly Once Upon a Time right now) Tumblr is great for certain things: graphics, fics, etc. You have to reblog to reply to things or message, but. . .it works out.

Yeah, it's been more quiet than normally at LJ these days. I think a lot of people have moved on to other things. My f-list doesn't see much action anymore, which is kinda sad.

Tumblr is ok for finding pics, links to vids and getting quick 'news' about various things but that's about it. It's not really for discussions, which is why I'm still here as well. No Tumblr of my own though I do use it occasionally for finding 'stuff', heh.

I'm keeping an eye on BIG to see if it turns into the usual Hong Sisters mess or not. Maybe I'll get onboard a bit later on... provided they keep this current style.

Big is awesome. It might, just might surpass My Girl as favourite Hong sisters, it all depends on how it continues to develop. I love the fact that is doesn't have the same feel as the latest of their dramas. I think that by having the characters more sane and less...pretentious, the character development and the relationships can shine more. I'm all for that.

I am also so confused right now about the ship. I mean they are clearly the OTP, and I ship them dearly, but would I still ship her with the 18 year old him? I mean, I do ship her with just the 'body' as well.

I've been hanging out at Tumblr a lot as of late; it's where I post all my fandom things because my LJ/DW has been about my personal life for a long time and I can't seem to get back into posting about fandom things here. I like how I can make a quick post there and not feel like I didn't post enough. I also really like how I can track tags of things I'm interested in, and their "like" function for posts is useful for when I don't have anything to say but just enjoy the content.

The one thing I really don't like about Tumblr is that I can't comment directly on a post unless I've been following the poster for awhile. I either have to reblog the post or message the original poster. I have comments set up on my Tumblr page, but even if it was used, it still wouldn't be as nice as LJ's comment feature. If I really want to have a nice discussion, I go to one of the LJ communities I watch and have it there.

I know I'll eventually watch Big, because I do love Gong Yoo, but I've been really interested in getting everyone's opinions first. I'm a little iffy on the plot right now.

But I was thinking, if Big can help you tolerate Lee Min Jung, then that means you can now watch Lee Chun Hee in Smile, You! (You'll still have to watch the series on fast forward though, Jung Kyung Ho's lead character is a beta male... and Lee Kyu Han's second lead is an even a bigger beta male in comparison!)

I'm starting to think that maybe the boys are connected somehow because both Kyung Joon and Young Jae had the same picture. So I wonder if they are bothers?
I love how Kyung Joon is the one who starts to puzzle things together because Da Ran wants to believe in her fairy tale romance but I guess she's up for a rude awakening. Of course it might not be that Young Jae cheated on her but it seems so (grrrrr) so if they boys switch back it will be interested to see how he will react when he suddenly has a rival.
But Gong Yoo is awesome and I love how he is enjoying his role as a manchild.

I just don't see that other places fit what I want to do like LJ does. Whether I'm in a talkative mood or not, I just like how it works. Things like tumblr... I just don't know what I'd do with it. Maybe I'm getting old O.o

LJ does seem a bit dead these days.. I find the exodus to tumblr quite sad, because tumblr is about gifs and pics and not so much interaction. Even if people picspam on LJ, most LJ's also have some text content, and good interaction opportunities when it comes to discussions. Tumblr just seems like an extended Twitter - people expressing opinions, and people reblogging those views if they agree, or re-blogging with disagreement, and the conversations are tough to follow.

I've got a tumblr but I mostly use it to follow and like other people's posts, save pictures etc. LJ is still my "main place".
