To the Beautiful You - episodes 9-10
Sep. 16th, 2012 06:52 pm
This drama continues to be adorable (even though I should not watch it soon after Nice Guy, because it's giving me emotional disassociation). I continue to be bored by everything but Tae Joon/Joon Hee, but luckily they are so perfect together, it doesn't matter. The arrival of potential romantic rival (hello there, Dong Hyub from Gentleman's Dignity!) totally makes Tae Joon realize his feelings. Of course, secondary girl is being her evil self but this time her plan makes no sense and for Tae Joon to follow along makes no sense - if he will pretend to date evil girl so JH won't be revealed as a girl and thus he can keep her by her and not hurt her, he is insane because it WILL hurt Jae Hee and it won't keep her much by his side either.
Oh, and there are totally random Minho shirtlessness and modeling sequences which are blatantly catering to fangirls but make me squee. :P
( Some caps of adorableness )

Five Fingers - episodes 7-8
Sep. 16th, 2012 07:55 pm
I continue to love Five Fingers, mainly for Joo Ji Hoon. I can't wait for him to find out his evil family is EVIL and go after them (though Mom more than the brother - Mom is clearly deceiving him by claiming Ji Ho is evil, wants his stuff etc. So there is some hope for him).
Most of the caps and thoughts below are about Ji Ho/Dami because I find their scenes such a breath of fresh, hopeful, sweet air in the darkness and evil of the rest...
( Anyone want to team up with me and buy Ji Ho a flame-thrower? )
You know, by now I don't even notice the haircut!

Someone posted on joonni.com the trailer for the 2009 version of Faith, the one with a somewhat different plot that was going to be with Kang Ji Hwan until the fact that was embroiled in a legal dispute with his management scuppered the project.
I've never seen it before and now I am DYING. DYING!!!!! Why was this not made? WHY?! Don't get me wrong, I adore current Faith but this is so much grimmer and fantasy-full, i.e., my perfect thing. And I adore Lee Min Ho (who doesn't?) but Kang Ji Hwan is another level entirely. When I think I almost had this and then the idiotic legal dispute happened and ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH this looks like everything I ever wanted. I love grim and high fantasyish and Kang Ji Hwan and I was going to have it and it was taken away from me and I think I need a little lie down.
Instead Kang Ji Hwan made the abomination that was Lie to Me. WTF, life!!!!

I confess I almost dumped May Queen due to the utter makjang stupidity of the first 8 eps (and seeing that's me, that's saying a lot). Luckily, this week we finally got the adult cast and so MQ is staying on, for now - the plot is still done by monkeys with brain damage and passion for melodrama, but the individual scenes sparkle (especially every time the irreverent Kang San shows up) and the cast chemistry is whoa.
My problem is I ship our heroine with both Chang Hee (Jae Hee) and Kang San (Kim Jae Won) - threesome, please!
( Some caps of shippy cuteness and hotness because the less I talk about the plot, the better )
