Five Fingers - episodes 7-8

I continue to love Five Fingers, mainly for Joo Ji Hoon. I can't wait for him to find out his evil family is EVIL and go after them (though Mom more than the brother - Mom is clearly deceiving him by claiming Ji Ho is evil, wants his stuff etc. So there is some hope for him).

Most of the caps and thoughts below are about Ji Ho/Dami because I find their scenes such a breath of fresh, hopeful, sweet air in the darkness and evil of the rest...

This was awful. You know, the Old Prof is pretty annoying even when he isn't being manipulated. I do want Ji Ho to wake up to his family's evilness, but his state of not suspecting them is a lot more natural than the Prof's paranoia, where he supposedly loves JH and sees him as a successor but suspects him of everything and anything. How does this work?

This was pretty much the creepiest scene ever! Ji Ho having nightmares about his father's death and Mommy Medea comforting him. Oh, I get shivers of creeptastic from this - the way he is so vulnerable in front of her, his personal nemesis, if only he knew.

I love how he is all emo and miserable about the Prof thing and she still manages to drag him out and enjoy himself and also emotionally open up a bit.














Honestly, emo, snap out of it. Of course he lies about the fact that the little boy she was friends with is Ji Ho, his half-brother.

only ji hoon to make me enjoy a makjang drama! also i'm so glad that the silly hairdo is now gone! and i've come to make a wish list for ji hoon:

1) to be unbanned from kbs and mbc.
2) to work again with yoon eun hye (i'm re-watching goong and i'm full of feels).
3) to work again with shin min ah (i'll forever love mawang and naked kitchen, plus his sex scene in that movie with her is one of the most alluring, beautiful and sexy, sex scenes that i've ever saw, not only in kmovies, but in movies in general).
4) to work again with kim jae wook (what can i say, they are bffs that happen to have amazing chemistry on screen).
5) to work with joo won, hopefully as brothers.
6) to be in a tvn drama (real kisses and sex scenes galore!).

Oh yeah! The hair is good. as for Naked Kitchen, JJH's character's personality as Du Re is soooo different from his as the Mawang lawyer. I like JJH lighter, more insouciant the way he is as Du Re.

I love Mawang so much (arguably best kdrama ever) but yeah, a chirpier personality is good for the long term.

It goes to show that he's quite a good actor. In both Mawang and Five Fingers, his energy is so restrained, so self-contained that I forgot that he could be quite light and insouciant, as he was in the Naked Kitchen and Antique Bakery. So introverted in the former two and extroverted in the latter two.

i'm sooooo agree with lysblack lists, not going to argue esp Jihoon-Joo won in a drama/movie together, and i personally loves JJH in Antique, he's nagging alot in there lol

and those sex-kiss scene with SMA, yeah let say i always rewatch those scene for comforting *pervymode*

mousie, you have to watch ep 9-10, so much sweet scene between Jiho-Dami, oohh i'm ship them all the wayyyy.....

its great of how i always ship Jihoon with his leading lady, that means he is that good in love scene.....

Reading your thoughts makes me wish to try watching Five Fingers again. I dumped it in favour of May Queen because it was less makjang in the first episodes than FF's. BUT I love JJH and always thought that he deserves a 2nd chance. So I was happy to see him in a new drama. Unfortunately I couldn't stand the first 2 episodes and dropped it.

Will probably give it a try when it's finished. :-)

Still hope to see him with Yoon Eun Hye again... PLEASE Dramaland make my dream come true! :D

I hate professor with the passion - I mean: He knew Ji Ho for several years, was sort of a father figure for him and all. And then, at the first misunderstanding the professor acts as if Ji Ho is some stranger he met yesterday! Manipulated or not - he is the one to blame! It will serve him right to have In Ha for a successor! I really dislike In Ha , BTW, spoiled guys are so NOT my thing. I tend to feel more for the mother - her husband was a crazy (and a wife-beater), living with him messed her up.

Love Ji Ho and Dami together, they are so adorable together.

The Professor has judgment and impulse control of a toddler. Cute in a toddler, not good in an adult.

I feel bad for In Ha because he has a diagnosed mental condition (PTSD, was on anti-depressants). I still want him to lose but I feel a bit sorry. The Mom, not so much because Ji Ho had nothing to do with her woes, but also because the fact that she can pretend to be affectionate to him (IH at least doesn't conceal his disdain) is way way creepy.

Awww mousie wait until you watch epi 9-10!! They're sooooo shippy. Be it Ji-ho x Da-mi or In-ha x Da-mi shippers, all will get plenty of both couple moments.

I love Da-mi with either of them. Still can't choose between 2 interactions. She brings the best out of both guys. She makes In-ha human and likable (and a very nice+sweet one at that. He even wants DM to be the first one to know when good thing happened to him, before his mom). He dared to try overcome his fear for her. She never gives up with JH's eccentricity and dismissal, makes him slowly accept and open up to her (albeit grudgingly and bit unconsciously), until he finally can't resist her presence anymore. Love the fact that he never won any debates with her LOL.

At this rate, Jin Se-yeon has pretty high chance to win Best Couple awards in both KBS and SBS this year, one with Joo-won and one with Joo Ji-hoon.
