To the Beautiful You - episodes 9-10

This drama continues to be adorable (even though I should not watch it soon after Nice Guy, because it's giving me emotional disassociation). I continue to be bored by everything but Tae Joon/Joon Hee, but luckily they are so perfect together, it doesn't matter. The arrival of potential romantic rival (hello there, Dong Hyub from Gentleman's Dignity!) totally makes Tae Joon realize his feelings. Of course, secondary girl is being her evil self but this time her plan makes no sense and for Tae Joon to follow along makes no sense - if he will pretend to date evil girl so JH won't be revealed as a girl and thus he can keep her by her and not hurt her, he is insane because it WILL hurt Jae Hee and it won't keep her much by his side either.

Oh, and there are totally random Minho shirtlessness and modeling sequences which are blatantly catering to fangirls but make me squee. :P

*__* minho looks like a skinny thing until he takes his shirt off and then its like WOAH. I should post gifs of his solo perf where he p much spends tthe whole thing shirtless. and sweaty...mmhhhmmm.
Anyway this drama is so romantic <3 They are so cute together. and I loved seeing Woo Bin show up! Ever since White Christmas I adore him. He's so good at playing charming troublemaker types. and he's so tall *__*
Ugh tho at the ending of ep 10. I was worried this would happen the MINUTE a secondary girl was announced. I was like I SWEAR TO GOD IF THEY PULL A YOUR BEAUTIFUL ESQUE STUNT I WILL KILL EVERYTHING THEY LOVE. and then they did -_- *screams internally* I hate this plot point so much. sooooo muuuuuuch. to top it off, Nice Guy which I am enjoying is soured for me a bit ever since people announced that Eun Ki is supposed to get amnesia which will ofc give her a lobotomy so she turns into a nice placid heroine like the one I was so happy she wasnt. *SIGH* Not to mention how much I despise amnesia plots. could anything be more stupid and makjang than this? Ugh. It better be short lived. I dont want another Secret Garden situation where I was enjoying it so much up until mid way thru and then it started to go right off the rails into ridiculous ville. (not to mention the tough heroine was turned into a weepy mess URGH)

I loved the scene where she is changing the light bulb and he comes over and hugs her from behind! I thought they were going to go the stereotypical way and have her fall and he catches her and then they are nose to nose and it is awkward, I'm glad they didn't do that. It is strange to see a k-drama hero that aware of his feelings, there is usually some huge huge denial, I guess he did go through some denial, but for him to hug her openly like that is just so.... ! Tae Joon is so caring and sweet and protective= perfect husband material!

If Tae Joon does pretend to date secondary girl, it is going to remind me of You're Beautiful so much. I don't know if it is in the manga b/c I have never read the Hana Kimi manga but if it is I feel like the You're Beautiful writers copied a bit. This Hana Kimi version is hands down my favorite already- I feel like it is the only adaptation that shows how much the hero needs and loves the heroine, the TW and Japanese versions didn't cut it in that way IMO.
