It's official, I hate Jae Ha's adopted parents too. Way to go, take advantage of a desperate and cornered 10 year old. Bravo!

Yup, Su Ho sold himself to crazy people to pretend to be their dead kid Jae Ha in exchange for them paying Eun Young's surgery fees.

And now we are back to the present (squee!!!) so I will start placing my observations under cut as main story is about to begin. But two general comments first.

1. It is official - am a mutant. Ladies everywhere swoon for Daniel Henney who plays Su Ho's best friend, but I find him stalkery and mildly annoying.I think the thing with the dress was supposed to be swoony but I found it creepy. As walkwitheheroes put it, he has a Cinderella fixation.

2. Still the prettiest drama ever. Lake scenes!

Am still thinking, after sleeping on it, that Hero's adoptive parents are completely insane. I repeat (because it cannot be repeated enough): they bought a desperate ten-yr-old to pretend to be their dead kid. And lied to him that his one (known to them) connection from his normal life has died during the operation he sold himself to them for (way to give him more guilt!) so he won't have distractions. Yeah. No wonder he isn't looking for more girlfriends in a hurry and the brightest emotional memory he has is from when he was 10. If I were the hero, I'd probably sit in a corner curled up in a ball, with that background.

So crazy. I bet they will LOVE Secondary Girl because they can bond over their craziness.

Not to mention what they did is SO ILLEGAL that I don't even know where to start...Maybe with a straight jacket?

I also love how brilliantly pragmatic the heroine is. She won't have the Daniel Henney interlude be anything more than a cute nice guy making her vacation more fun. She is not about to be swept off her feet and derail her life. (Also, I continue to think Daniel Henney's blatant Cinderella fetish is creepy). Plus, she made the icy hero wear a red teddybear sweater without a peep of protest, really. Ahahahahaaaaa!

I want to fucking kill them.

I am literally crying from rage.

(Warning: do not read if you have triggers about child abuse).

These people should get death penalty. Only it's too good for them and they are not eligible. But oh how I wish.

Am so very in love with ep 5 of Spring Waltz.

Also, I ended up getting sniffly. In the freaking 5th ep!

Random thoughts on the ep )

OMG.

I am so obsessed about this drama, it's not even funny. It hasn't happened for months and months and months.

I am getting the snifflies and the shakes, I am so emotionally invested. Only partially because of the martini and all the dessert, I swear :P.

Eun-Young in a delivery outfit? That much cuteness should be illegal! I also love that she refers to Jae Ha as "Worst Luck" as a nickname when discussing him with her friend. LOLOLOL.

Speaking of Jae Ha? I have an unhealthy fixation with his hands. Unhealthy. Also, how much did I love the scene where he was leaning against the window at night, saying his former name (Lee Su Ho) as if he was trying to hold on to it and not let it (and by extention his former life) be erased entirely.

I love the chemistry between the leads. Love love love love. Mmmmmmm. I loved their mini-fight - she totally snaps Mr. Icy 'n' Emo out of his shell, btw. Heh. I love that despite it all he still asks where she is from - a part of him is still hoping she is his Eun-Young despite the confirmations. I find it interesting that when she says her last name which is different he feels almost relieved as if he can bury all that past again and not have it torment him.

I kinda live for the moment when he finds out she is who he thought she was, after all. OMG. I am going to die then, I think. But until then I want to watch him fall in love with her all over again, unknowing and grown-up. Mmmm. That is the kind of childhood love I can get behind - when that is not the only basis for an OTP but they fall in love all over again.

Yo, Jae Ha/Su-Ho! Eun-Young could totally cure your emo/angst/tortured artist thing, I'm just sayin'. Because I don't remember last time I saw a hero so much on the permanent edge of a nervous breakdown. No wonder he gloms onto Secondary Girl (who is creepily living in her elementary school past, I must add). As some sort of certainty/reconciliation of his identities. Because the scene at the school? So painful.

Phillip continues to be sweet and boring. I did love the scene with the main four though, the way the drama subtly showed Eun-Young does not belong socially. The other three aren't being mean but they are chatting in English and she is trying to pretend she is participating but is clearly not, and finally makes her excuses and leaves...
