Just finished ep 1 and continue to love it. Also love how heroine stood up for herself and hero just took all the abuse (though it takes two to drunkenly knock boots) because he's not the one with reputation at risk here. Plus, so pretty!








How I adored ep 6!

Of course, in order to keep his 'unconcerned playboy' facade, he has to lie he didn't buy her house out of compassion and things escalate, and his foot permanently lives in his mouth, doesn't it? Oh, how I want her to find the truth about him already because her pushing him away hurts, but is so understandable.












And he watches her in the hospital - it especially kills me when she looks at that bullet in gratitude to her unknown rescuer and she doesn't know he's mere feet away and is the man she views as soulless.






























The bit where he convinces her to live with him - I love how he's so certain-sounding she falls for his insane nonlogic, first as to why he wants to live there and second as to why nothing will happen between them.














Though not sure how the non-touching pact will last when he keeps looking at her everyday gestures like that. I know he moved there to protect her, but he might end up getting other things in the bargain :)














No wonder they toss and turn. I do love that in living with her, he's not just surrounded by normalcy, he's surrounded by her world, by her. It's going to make hiding his identity a lot harder though. Please please please satisfy my slightly bizarre craving and make him come home one day and bleed all over her.

It took them 40 freaking eps to get there, so I am going to wallow in it! (Side note - hooray for Kyle and Rara, please let them work out). Also, honeymoon cuteness!

I am very much with Lee Gexiao's teacher - his wife may be dead and she may have been the best, but he himself isn't dead and life is full of second/third/etc bests - it's very pragmatic.

Because I am on a WW2 fiction kick after Paullina Simons' novel, I am going to watch the 2008 Russian movie Мы из будущего (We are from the future), about a quartet of modern Russian friends who somehow get transported to 1942. I am sure that is going to be super-chirpy. Have a MV:

And speaking of things to watch, I am pretty indifferent to Ming Dao, but I love twdramas involving fights and smoochies, so Ying Ye 3+1, here I come! Have a MV!

I kind of wish more characters would take that approach...

Just to warn you, Ying Ye 3+1 isn't actually as dramatic or as great as the mv depicts. And I say that as a Mingen fan, and the person who made that mv, lol. That's only covering 7 episodes - and the "tragedy" doesn't last very long. I made it to the end barely, and that's *only* because of my love for both actors. The story was pretty cliche and ridiculous once they switched writers, and they had to introduce a new second-male-lead because the one in the drama had absolutely no chemistry with the lead actress... it was a pretty big mess from the very beginning.

I'm almost positive you won't like it. Especially if you're not a Ming Dao fan.

... did not know how much i wanted this until you said that !! urg, i think lee minho was created to angst and bleed for heightened romantic catharsis onscreen.

CYHMH looks SO good, i'm totally picking it up once it's done.

i watched ying ye yearssss ago, if i remember correctly it was the sort of show that was not great plotwise, but still very fun to watch? the otp were dea~d cute. idk how i'd find it now, though, my opinion on so many shows has changed on recent rewatch.

LOL, what's funny is that the actor who plays the dad in X Family is also well known as the supporting character for Fated to Love You, which is the Joe Chen drama that beat out the MingEn drama. What's weird is when I first saw Fated to Love You, I thought Ethan Ruan looked like Ming Dao but now after watching it, I think I'm stupid for thinking that because they look so different from each other to me now. I was also the same way with Alyssa Chia and Ruby Lin.
