OK. I knew the Logan/Veronica spoilers for the finale for quite a while.
But sort of rereading them is making me see RED.
As in *stab stab die die stupid TPTB*
So, apparently there is a sex tape of V/Piz (I am not even going to address my issue with that hook-up) and as a result of Logan beating up whoever he thought was responsible, Veronica tells him he is out of her life for good. In the very last ep.
STAB
DIE
And I don’t mean Logan.
While Logan has done questionable or wrong things in the past, and not every quality of his is awesome, his protectiveness is actually One. Of. The. Best. Things. About. Him.
Hell, if someone had a videotape of said nature on me, I’d hope my friends would do something about it. I remember when I just started college, one of my suitemates got fed booze at a party and almost raped. Well, she was from a high school where a lot of people came to that college and her guy friends combed the campus for the bastard and when they found him, they didn’t exactly offer him a drink. And you know what? All the girls in the suite thought it was just fine.
Leaving that aside, Veronica looking down on Logan just BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME. I think after what he’s repeatedly done for you, you should cut him some slack.
Let’s see.
1. He saved your life. At the risk of his own. When the crazy murderer-rapist was going to shoot you. (S2)
2. He saved you from being raped (and head shaved). (S3)
3. He saved you from having your face tattooed and mangled (best case scenario) or God knows what (worst case) (S2)
4. He got himself arrested so he could do something to the scum who tried to drug and rape you (S3)
5. Once you got together, he’s always had your back (contrast his reaction to his friends when they make nasty comments about V ‘if you have a problem with V you are dead to me’ to reaction of sweetie Duncan who let people pick on her the whole season).
6. He’s tried to be a good and open bf with you. Hey, he overlooked when you accused him of rape and murder and…
You know what? I am just going to stop. This is making me more and more pissed off.
No, I don’t think Logan is an ideal boyfriend. He has way too many issues and if V were my friend, I’d like her to date someone with a less messed-up background. Except. Veronica is hardly Hannah, is she? Any normal, well-adjusted guy should by rights run away screaming with her. And Logan would make a good boyfriend if he cares for you: he’ll love you and care for you and try his best. Veronica is a lousy girlfriend.
Seriously, the Veronica-Logan thing is the freaking abusive cycle all over again (he desperately tries to measure up and it’s never enough and he is always unworthy, and care is withheld unless he is perfect according to an arbitrary standard) and he’s had enough of this with his parents. Logan, get the hell out. Find Hannah. Or some completely other woman. Just seriously. Leave.
Someone on twop put it much better than I have:
If Veronica was my friend in real life - sure, I'd tell her to get as far away from someone like Logan as possible. But if this were real life, I would also caution my sons, my brothers, my male friends to stay as far away from Veronica as possible. She is not a nice, stable girl. She uses people. She holds people to incredibly high standards that she herself does not meet. She's reckless with her own safety without any thought to the people who love her. She hurts people by jumping to false conclusions. She is entirely willing to let Logan comfort her when the chips are down, but she bullies and judges him at every turn otherwise. She's self-righteous. She gets her friends in trouble. She illogically places blame. She takes and takes and takes from the people around her to solve her current case, and she never gives anything back. And no one calls her on it, nor does anyone's opinion of her suffer.
And yet my dramas never disappoint. On the other side of the spectrum, I just read some Que Sera Sera spoilers that made me GLEE. Angry makeouts are a fiction MUST. I really need to pick up watching that…Hmmm, I want to see if anyone is uling QSS in jdramas. If not, I should do that. But yes, it's GOOD.
I love this shot, so surreal:

More traditional mush:

Plot: The most romantic melodramas often make it appear as if a love story can be the end of the world for the people involved, but reality teaches us that is rarely the case. We fall in love, make great experiences and not so great ones, and then break up. All that is left is recover, and start again. The four characters in MBC's new miniseries Que Sera, Sera always put love way down their list of priorities exactly for that reason. A successful fashion designer (Yoon Ji Hye of No Mercy for the Rude), a reserved planning director (Lee Gyu Han of My Lovely Sam Soon), a spunky clerk (Jung Yoo Mi of Family Ties), and the most energetic of event planners (Shinhwa member Eric of Super Rookie). For them love is more like a passing joy than a life-time commitment. That is what they think until they find the spark showing them otherwise.
Did I mention the KISSING???? It's like they decided to compensate for lukewarm kissing in other dramas
OK. Want to know why I want to see this? Look and drool:

Ahem:

I clearly have a bottle fixation:

Smooooch:

Some QSS MVs:
Also. Glee! If in love…like them ep 1 subs are out!!! YES. And also, apparently fansubbers are working on Punch! a 2003 drama with Joo Jin Mo and Shin Min Ah, about a girl whose older brother was a boxer and a guy who accidentally killed him and he feels bad so he becomes her surrogate brother and they fall in lurve. YES.
But sort of rereading them is making me see RED.
