Ummm...yeah. I've spent the entire evening, once Baby Mousie went to bed, reading fic. More specifically, Finnick/Annie fic. No surprise there - if you know my preferences, you know I'd be all over that ship like a loon.

Anywho, here are two Finnick/Annie fic recs - both long and both are R/NC-17 for pretty obvious reasons.

Treading Water by the awesome sabaceanbabe. She used to write awesome Farscape stuff and I am glad to see she's just as good in other fandoms.

Scylla and Charybdis by puella_nerdii (who wins for the most awesome user name ever. Thanks, littledelusion, for the link).

This reminds me. How do I go about downloading fic on my Kindle?

After taking a bit of a break, I went back to The Myth viikii page to copy subs for eps 36-50 (I have those for 1-35). But even though I donated, it still says "sorry, you need to be a contributor" when I click on that little 't' button in the corner which allowed me to see and copy/paste all the subs.

I mean, I can copy line for line but that will take forever.

WTF is going on?????

I know a lot of people on my flist download from aja-aja. I have also used this site repeatedly for months and it was fine.

HOWEVER. Today I have got a nasty case of malware from the site. Nothing Spyware Doctor and some manual tinkering can't fix but BE CAREFUL.

Seriously.

I don't know why it's happening lately but the site's gotten dangerous that way. I've seen complaints to that effect on d-addicts too.

If you can, use something else. If you can't, still - don't bother. Unless you want to be like me and spend an hour debugging your computer.

I have been trying to deal with the horrific Veoh Player for a while. UGH. I bet the only way people install it is because that's the way to dl veoh videos.

Sorry, arashi.vox, but it's back to viikii for me and waiting for withs2's subs for dl. Not even having a high quality dl earlier is worth it for the veoh repulsive hassle.

It's one of my favorite manga parts and I was all upset the Japanese drama left it out. Boo!

Side note: why do students of Creepy School gang up on Jandi the second it looks like Jun Pyo withdraws his protection, honest? (Since there is no Red Card out for her any more, pretty clearly). If they had any brains, they'd be building an altar to her! Jun Pyo seems to have completely forgotten about his reign of terror/bullying/red cards/whatever, now that he is so obsessed with Jandi. It seems he used to do all the stuff because he was bored but he isn't bored any more but instead monomaniacal about seeing Jandi react to things and being all dorky and jealous. I bet the school is peaceful for the first time in years! Seriously, those students have no brains.

Seeing that people are worried about LJ going kaput, may I recommend LJArchive as a way to back up your entries? You won't be able to extract them from there to cross-post on GreatestJournal or InsaneJournal, but you will have it all saved in a usable/readable format.

I backed up all my stuff last night and unlike LJBook, which a lot of people swear by, it worked for me. (Also, unlike LJBook, since you download the program files onto your hard-drive, you don't have to worry about it being too busy with too many users to access).

LJBook, I am sure, is great, but for someone like me, who has over 4500 entries, many of them graphics-heavy, and almost 60,000 comments that I want to save, LJBook is not a good option: the journal is too huge for it to save effectively. LJArchive did it with no problems, though, even if it took a while.
