My most current OTP, the OTP for me out of all the current airing dramas:



Hong Gil Dong and Heo Yee Nok.

*sigh*

I mean, they are made to be an OTP of mine on any surface telling of the story: the hot rebel slave Robin Hood who is an illegitimate son of a powerful evil Lord and the spunky noble lady whose family has been murdered (by his father no less!), and who has no idea who she is and has been brought up in the gutter.

But since this is a wacky, hilarious Hong sisters drama, they are also a hilarious, lazy goofball and a money-loving food-obsessed dope.

They manage to be both heroic and dorktastic, hilarious and heartbreaking. Just like the drama.

If they do not end up together, I will have to stab something.

Oh, I want it to be subtitle time already. Please!!!!!

And I end on this gorgeous black and white pic of Kang Ji Hwan. He is arguably the most handsome man I've seen in a kdrama.

Yeah, they have to draw the angst out. I am just happy that there isn't any of that annoying 'torn between two loves' stuff here. GD loves YN and vice versa. The end.

No, no one thinks they're in love with someone else, and that's good. YN loves GD. GD loves YN. YN likes Emo Prince as a friend. GD seems to be annoyed (and now somewhat disgusted) by Creepy Goth Girl. So, yay to YN and GD.


A lot of kdramas have the gut being torn between his ex/old(er) female "friend/co-worker/whatever", but GD is strong in his feelings for YN. So, that's good.

Yeah, since DGCH is an 'older' drama, it's hard. I love it to pieces though. So much.

Yeah. While occasionally I don't mind an indecisive heroine (or hero), most of the time it just makes me frutrated and feeling like yanking my hair out.

I also love why GD loves YN. Sure, she is cute if you ever cleaned her up (big IF) but Eun Chae is prettier and more refined. But YN is so good and fun and just caring for him without any games or unlterior motive. How could he not fall for her, especialyl starved for love as he has been?

YN is very pretty when you clean her up. But, it's much more than looks. If GD wanted looks, he could have EC. But, he wants a girl that's kind and gentle, but also brave. She was going to hunt tigers with him in China for goodness sake! 13 episodes in, it's very clear they love each other, but they haven't even kissed properly. I want a real kiss, but I doubt it will happen until nearly the end.

Yes, Que Sera Sera was great in the fan service department. It spoiled me. Kdramas spoil me. They hardly ever kiss in Twdramas (well, some do. My Lucky Star had great kiss scenes), and when they do its a peck. Jdramas don't really do kissing either. But. . . back on topic:


I do want a kiss. If I remember the formula for a Hong sister drama, there is one acident/not real kiss early on, then between one - three real kisses later in the series. And only one-three 'look we're a happy couple' episode(s) - DGCH had three, MG and FC had one (or two).

But, HGD has a different flavor to it, so who knows what will happen?


I think I'm a bit of a pervert, though. I keep hoping and waiting for a kiss scene between by OTP.

Most of jdrama kissing (outside of Pride and Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake) is horrible.

I liked the kisses in Mars. Mmmmm. I really want to watch My Lucky Star btw. need to get to it! Tokyo Juliet was good too.

Pride and Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake had great kiss scenes. KMSD's kiss scene really do make me feel like a pervert, simply because the actress was just in her mid/late teens while doing the show.


Someone once said shows like Pride, KMSD, One Million Stars Following From the Sky, have kissing scenes that aren't horrible, because the actors are older. Plus, it's the tv stations way of saying 'Sorry, no one kisses correctly in other dramas.'


The kiss scenes in Mars were really good. Much better then the pecks you get in other Tw dramas. They're badly in love, but they kiss like six year olds? Huh? MLS is great (made three vids for it). The main girl is dubbed over, but once you get used to that. . . Serious chemistry between the leads.
