Moonlight and MISA. Angsty and hot
Jan. 14th, 2008 02:22 pmI am a bad fan. I have not yet seen the latest episode of Moonlight. Will do during the week, but they are so scarce I want to savor them. Why yes, I am a sad person. I have heard it was very good though. Y/Y?
In other news, I took a whole bunch of screencaps of eps 2-3 of Sorry I Love You, the one with the bullets-in-the-head vengeful Korean hottie and his diminutive OTP.
If you want to see boys in pink sweaters (secondary male lead), rescues from watery grave, and more angst than that of a starving vegan in a steak-house, go behind cut. I can't guarantee lack of snark :)
Life is paaaaaain, so Our Hero is suffering from a crippling headache:

Finding his long-lost, mentally challenged sister:

He does not forget to feather his hair even in his emo:

I like this shot of the heroine:

Oh God, emo secondary male, could you get more emasculated?

Mmmm, angsty hotness:

This is just pretty:

'You mean my choice is between wimpy Mama's boy and brutally hot alpha guy who is dying and has vengeance issues? What have I ever done to you?'

He helps his sister and her kid:

His 'adopted' grandpa:

He sees his Mom, who is rich and powerful and had no reason to abandon him. He looks heart-broken. And a little stoned :)

You know how I thought secondary male couldn't get more girly? I was wrong:

Not even grabbing of girl will help you, Secondary Male:

First meeting in Korea:

Umm. Yes. He is. No comment:

They are totally an unkempt OTP:

He sees a poster of his Mom and brother:

I love this scene. His sister is being harassed for not being able to pay for a shirt while in the background on TV, their Mother and Brother are being rich and affectionate and cloying to each other:

He decides (understandably) to get revenge. Revenge implies emo hat:

And emo leaning:

And emo staring at photos:

And emo memories:

As I said, I love that scene:

General emo:

Obnoxious Mother:

Heroine is all 'I let a random hot guy into your house. Ooops.'

'Let me be emo with you!'

he finds out how little he has left to live:

He decides to rescue drowning brother (who is drowning for reasons too stupid to elaborate):

And gives the future OTP his emo hat:

After the rescue:

Awww, someone takes care of him!

But he is too manly and emo to accept!

Until he crumples. This show likes its h/c the way Our Hero loves his emo hat:

Tucking in:

Ostensibly playing bball with brother, but in reality gratuitously showing off the bod.

he is in hospital outfit but still has the darn emo hat on!

The heroine can't believe it either but can't say anything as her outfits are even worse!
Next time, I bring you purely gratuitous swimming scenes involving teeny-tiny speedos. Korean TV knows its demographic.

Save the last dance for me (also known as 'the last dance is with me')
crazy for you
Green Rose
Time between dog and wolf
I think All In and Phoenix also have happy endings but am unsure and don't want to steer you in that direction only for you to find out they all die of hideous unnamed diseases.

Date: 2008-01-15 07:22 pm (UTC)And I adore DGCH like nobody's business even if it made me go incoherent at the screen quite a few times (OMG, the scene at the airport!). The scene where he finds her diary might just be my favorite scene in all of kdrama.

Date: 2008-01-16 12:05 am (UTC)MaM is, on the other hand, not as emotionally angsty and kind of foolish in the beginning (what one would expect from a drama based on Joe Millionaire) but it tends to get better once the storyline shifts away from the reality show stuff. And it probably shouldn't have been longer than 10 episodes but I kind of love the main character Young-hoon. The series is worth watching just to see what happens to the guy.
