OK, I think I have been persuaded to give Bones another chance, despite the fact that the show believes the LA city hall is located in Washington.

I don't think I'll restart with the Pilot though. I have been informed there is an ep where a totally injured Booth rescues Brennan from a serial killer (see meathook bits above starting at 3:26). Methinks that might be a good one. Which ep is it?

The ep you want is 1x15, "Two Bodies In The Lab". And it is FANTASTIC. In fact, there are a lot of really great episodes in S1 once the show finally hits its stride.

I love the meathook scene. So. Much. And you know I'm not a hopeless romantic of any kind. But how much pain he's obviously in and how he just disregards it until she's safe and HE'S holding her just pushes every H/C button I've got, especially when after they both collapse and he's finally feeling the pain and he just sort of leans into her and falls against her while she's hugging him. Guh.

Bones is OTP kinks city once you get past the Very Unfortunate Geography.

You should watch the christmas ep, and "the girl in the garden" first, though.

(And though I'm at work and can't recall episode titles or numbers, the meathooks ep also has jayne from firefly and booth getting blown up for bones, too)

Since I already have the meathook ep (heh), I am going to watch this first and see how it goes, esp because crumpeteer said it's the one :)

What is in the xmas ep? Unless done right, xmas cuteness on tv gives me hives.

The xmas ep is more character introspection and development than cuteness, and goes a long way to explaining both characters and why they ar the way they are.

Shippy:
- Meathook episode
- Undercover in Las Vegas episode
- Kiss episode
- Accidentally standing in fron of the altar episode
- Bones trapped underearth in a car and Boothe *frantic* to save her episode

Angsty:
- Booth hero angsty about saving a small boy from evil kidnappers
- Booth hero angsty about having killed a serial killer and having been a sniper and talking to Bones about his past: *squee*
- Old Christmas episode where they are all locked together under quaratine with Bones heroine angsty about solving 50 year old love story murder and Boothe all sad and depressed because he can only see his little son through glass

Trapped in a car/Angsty rescue: Aliens in a Spaceship (2x08) [I really love this episode]
Altar: Stargazer in a Puddle (2x22)
Kiss: Santa in The Slush (3x10)

Old Christmas: Man in a Fallout Shelter (1x08) [to me that was the episode where I decided I liked the show because to me it really defined Bones as a character; yet it seems that the episode had the same effect on hardly anybody else)
Heroic!Booth Saves Boy: Woman in The Car (1x09) [sorry, I have a thing about men being all heroic] Sniper!Angst Booth: Girl in the Gator (2x13) Apparently in the episode Blonde in the Game (2x04) Bones shoots a man for the first time to save Booth. I have no memory of the episode (I admit I haven't seen all), but it sounds shippy!
