Am back from Argetina and Uruguay.
Buenos Aires is definitely going into my Top 5 cities.
Promise to reply to everyone whom I owe a reply and to get back through flist backlog :)
ETA: I am through skip-140 and only a day in. No way I can catch on 5 days. If you posted something you think I'll love (and you know what sort of stuff this is: Who, dramas, Bollywood), please link.

Date: 2007-11-15 03:06 am (UTC)I'm happy you liked it!! Which one did you go? Señor Tango or Esquina Carlos Gardel? I can't watch those shows without thinking I should start going to dancing classes as soon as I can. I love dancing!

Date: 2007-11-15 04:04 am (UTC)We ate in a bunch of places, but I don't think any of them were a name I remember, except cafe Tortoni, and a cafe whose name escapes me, but I'll look up, but Garcia Lorca used to eat there (when I read his poems in Russian translation, I never thought I'd eat where he did :))
We went to ECG and it was amazing.

Date: 2007-11-14 06:42 pm (UTC)I've been going crazy over Magicians of Love (three latest post in my lj are full of it) which is wonderful crack - even Fernando's wine red velvet shirt and tartan pants haven't scared me away from it :). The OTP is totally adorable and I love how they've managed to cram every possible soap opera/drama cliché into the plot.
Did you ever finish it, btw? I'm currently on episode 13 and at this rate will have watched all 22 episodes in less than a week :).

Date: 2007-11-15 06:43 am (UTC)And flist backlog is a pain. Although I'm up to skip 100, and that is only since 12 hours ago. I'm addicted too.
Nothing interesting in my LJ - just a discussion on Smith and Jones if you want to look.

Date: 2007-11-16 01:15 am (UTC)So what are the other 4 Top cities? And have you visited a lot of countries by now?
Travelling has always just sounded so cool to me, but constantly being in school makes it hard to travel. Someday...

Date: 2007-11-16 06:01 am (UTC)And I'm surprised that Buenos Aires beats London. (Not that I've been to either places, but I've always heard people rave about London, and Buenos Aires hasn't been mentioned much, actually.) Hopefully this Xmas break I can head down to Mexico for a lark. Probably wouldn't have time to go any further, but that's for the future. Buenos Aires is one my top LatinAm cities to visit now.

Date: 2007-11-17 05:54 am (UTC)Thailand and India are likely to be soon on the list too.
Re: Taiwan. It's like South Korea. I like the dramas but am not interested in the places much. Doesn't look like there is much to see for a 15 hour flight. I'll get to them some time though.
Re: London v. BA. BA was just more exotic for me, I guess.
Have fun in Mexico, it's awesome!
