dangermousieWith everything else, I did manage to get some drama viewing in. YES. It pays to be an insomniac.
Finished Loveholic and Taiyou No Kisetsu finally. Loveholic required a lot of ffing on my part. Ultimately, it was an OK drama, but I adored eps 1-5 and then it somehow all dissipated. The pace slowed from scamper to a crawl, and the story tropes shifted. Oh well. It was still worth it to see the incredible hotness of Kang Ta. TnK was likewise a flawed drama with some excellent moments. Surprisingly, I was happy with the ending. Takki's character deserved to lose something crucial to him, after making others suffer. I have to admit his friend and OTP were a lot more forgiving than I would have been. Kudos to him for playing an unsympathetic character through. I ended up liking Shinji the best. He really was a nice guy. Also, anyone who's seen it: did Yuki (the girl who Takki seduced, Shinji's fiancee) ended up going insane and Shinji is visiting her in an institution at the end?
I also watched more of Yoshitsune which I really like. The child!Yoshitsune is not only adorable, he really looks like he could be mini Takki. Good casting job. I also adore Yoshitsune Mama. It takes nerve to show up at the stronghold of the man who killed your bf and is the top enemy of the clan to which your three kids with bf belong, and ask for their lives. And to be willing to offer herself to him as a mistress (the man who killed your OTP!) in exchange without flinching. She is made of STEEL. Yoshitsune!Papa we didn't get to know much, but from what we saw, he was sword-loving and hot. So plusses there, too.
But anyway, this is not what the post is about. This is a picspam of the promised manpain of awesomeness from Time between Dog and Wolf. Lee Jun Ki in all his angsty glory.
Premanpain shots. The heroine can make him grin like this. But this is only to contrast with ginormous manpain later even more starkly. The TPTB are total masters :)

Chasing after him, no matter how hurt and messed up he is:
He is having a horrible flashback, as he is being treated in the ER:
h/c in classic form. In the hospital, having convulsions:

She is holding his hands:
h/c of heroine stroking his hair. He'd probably like it more if he wasn't convulsing:
The running ticker probably says 'Order your own LJK clone here, while supplies last'
Facing the inquiry and being told they know why he went after the mobster with a gun and that it's all done. I thought before it'd be better if he was fired because it's a messed up job for him, but at least he had some anchor, now he is completely adrift:
Falling apart after the inquiry, with his surrogate Dad telling him he is finished, and is let go. (I think that is probably why I like this character so much. He is so incredibly controlled and reserved but there is this huge volcano of emotion under it. He is so controlled because he feels too much, not because he feels not enough):
And he smashes the mirror with his fist so now we have manpain AND bloody knuckles:
Seeing emo!brother on the way out. You shall never get the heroine, emo!brother. Please:

The face of manpain has racely been so attractive!
Being manpainy with his OTP as emo!brother merely looks on, knowing he will never achieve such manpainy heights.
There is a ton of manpain behind the smile. 'I wish I could go with you, but instead I have to go off to Thailand to track down the man who killed my Mom and to get caught and tortured. Did I mention that neither of us know he is your Dad?' I have never seen anyone who needs a whole prescription pad of meds more:

He is off on his mission of vengeance but YESSS. She followed him:
The awesome heroine (who is just super cool, and a perfect gf for the messed up woobie, in her hands off, but still present love), followed LJK to Thailand, and is now making obeisances at the same temple he is doing them. She will leave him alone if he asks it, but she will be there if not:
LJK's manpainy reaction to his beautiful OTP by his side. For he has an angsty plan and loving her might interfere!
Dude. If a man like that looked at me this way, I'd be tempted to pray in Buddhist temples myself.

Checking in. She has requested one room, to 'save money.' LOL. I am even more amused at how he acquiesces quickly. Manpain is temporarily abated in the presence of beautiful girl:

Step One of 'seducing my adorable if messed up OTP' is in action: throw self on the bed and act like a cute ten year old:
Offer to bathe together while wearing teeny clothes (you notice noted lack of manpain here :P)
Instead of manpain, we get this reaction. OMG, he looks five!
And she notices!
He is manpainfully telling her he has somewhere to go.To the bathroom for an emergency trip after her comments. It's his plan to track down his Mom's killer but he won't tell her, and she won't push:

And then I had to stop and attend to my hosting duties.
But not before I went to the end of the ep and got these awesome h/c caps:

*kissing*
JACKPOT. Though considering it takes days of torture by criminals to break down his walls, their intimate life will be a bit interesting unless she discovers alternate means. I suggest joint baths :)
Also, the 3% of me that aren't turning into mush at this are all 'but OMG, did you see his physical condition? Oh man, talk about going really really carefully!'
I think I have no fetishized LJK almost as much as the makers of this drama :)

As awesome as Lady Tokiwa is, would you believe me that her daughter, Yoshiko, actually tops her? Easily. Sadly, she seems gone from the series now(just started ep 43), but at least she didn't die...Yoshiko, I mean(no comments on Tokiwa)

He's had to make his five minute pick up scene with the Heroine seem like some epic romance just to try and get some traction. Kangta is just adorable, I love watching H.O.T videos (that's the boyband he first became known for - ironically name is acronym for High-five Of Teenagers because they debuted in their teens) for just him. Okay, and the godawful cracktasticness of 90's kpop videos.
I'd like to see him in something but he's only done Loveholic and some peculiar twdrama. I love me some dorama crossover but WTF he's doing in a Taiwanese drama, I'll never understand. Except I know he's formed some sort of band with one of the F4 guys (Vanness).
Onto Jun-ki, though! I wanna watch this as according to your ramblings, the OTP seems fantastic buuuuut my angst-fear is strong. Also, I love LJK but perhaps not enough to watch him in anything, though hot he is indeed in this. And his "I love you so much, plz heal my pain!" looks at the heroine are just adoooorable.
