Who squealed like a little girl when the OTP finally met in episode 2 and figured out they were childhood friends?



I literally yelped out loud. But that scene is so perfect. LJK is there to pick something from her for his brother. And he is (as always) very polite but very reserved. And she asks him if she knows him from somewhere, and he replies he doesn't think so. And then he sees her notebook and sees her Thai name!!!!!!

And OMG. The look of quiet delight on his face. You see him transform into a human and he looks so happy and surprised and like...in a fairy-tale or something. And he offers to walk her to the metro (it's raining) and they are within this magical private space of the umbrella and the camera swims around their faces, and he is tilting the umbrella so it would cover her more even though he is getting rained on. And then at the station, he does the special greeting gesture and calls her Thai name and OMG. EEEEEE!

You know, I don't generally have a problem with fell for each other as children love stories as long as there is some establishment for it, and here it actually makes sense. Not only did they hang out for quite a bit, this was his last bit of normalcy, true carefreenss, before his mother's murder after which he's never been the same.

'Emo brother' (tm lesbiassparrow) never has a chance with the heroine, does he? Dorky lay-about or angsty, super-efficient childhood love who looks like LJK? Come ON. Though that scene with him looking at stars of dead in service on the wall seems like foreshadowing. Don't die! Have pretty babies with your OTP instead!



Waiting before meeting her. He doesn't yet know she is Ari. Whoever dresses LJK in this drama deserves a prize. YUM

Now he's found out who she is and he is offering to walk her to the metro because it is raining. And you could see her slightly taken aback that someone so reserved would be like that, and he is quietly being delighted:

And so they are back at the coffee shop, talking. EEEEE! So happy!

It's such a good drama...and LJK is so hot! I don't really think his OTP is that pretty though...but I am sure she'll grow on me...

Ok, I'm not too keen about Lee Jun Ki. He's just so scarily pretty!!! I do like his eyes...just the shape of them... I like my men a bit more rustic!

Hmm, I seem to remember that I had compiled a 'Rustic Men' list when i was in my early 20s...wonder where it is...may have to update it a bit now!

However, I pretty much ff through anything with the emo brother in it as I find him annoying. And he is always moping about why the heroine prefers LJK over him. Really? Have you seen LJK? Combo that with childhood love and angsty manliness and you're never getting the girl. Never.
