Also, I've been watching more funny and delicious Coffee Prince. I have just finished ep 2 (yes, am very behind) so here are some screenshots and meta. Rather Gong Yoo centric because he is mmmmm...

This is where I went from being amused by the hero to really liking him. Awwwww. He leaves the watch for heroine because he knew she wanted it and he saw she was sweet and poor (and nutty). YES. He is a nice guy however he pretends otherwise. I have a huge weakness for nice guys:



Secondary guy is so intense and awesome. I also think he might have been secondary guy in 'Loveholic' (where he was also awesome) so I hope he gets the girl here for once and ends up with secondary OTP girl:



Flashback to secondary OTP girl and secondary guy, to happier times, before she left him for another man and broke his heart. But now she is back and wants to win his forgiveness and OMG I love the scene where she came to his house at night and was apologizing and he silenced her midway with a kiss and then picked her up and they went to bed. And in the morning he was all 'see, I am despicable. I got my revenge on you. This time I am the one leaving you.' And told her to leave and she did and he is all 'I told you to go and so you went' to himself because he so wanted her to stay and fight for him. And OMG, he still loves her so much. This reminds me of that Takeshi Kaneshiro movie, 'Perhaps Love' which I adore (I tried to screencap the kiss but it was too dark). If the main OTP are the childlike, fun beings who might need to grow up or not, but there is a maturity thing there, the secondary OTP is very adult. I really really hope they work it out:

Hilarious nightmare GY has, that he is marrying our heroine who he thinks is a guy :D.





OMG. He basically seeks her out to tell her that he wanted to hurt her can't try to hurt her because none of it sticks to her and just hurts him instead or similar. And she hugs him and says she was so afraid he wouldn't come. OMG, angst:

CP is indeed such love - it looks like 2007's "it" drama that everybody seems to be obsessing over. I must download & watch eps 8-10 tomorrow. :D

Gong Yoo is enormously hot. Kdrama men are a constant pleasant discovery, I swear to God. How do they do it? And I love how they manage to have shirtless GY in every goddamn episode. Fanserviceee.

Anyway, I keep going back and forth on liking secondary OTP people but I do want them to end up together, yes, and they seem so fit for each other in maturity etc - you're dead on about that, and later eps will only demonstrate it further. This is why I really can only ship OTP and secondary OTP with each other. The crossovers are so wrong wrong wrong in my eyes, though they also have scenes and development etc. :D

Yes, I can't see cross-coupling at all. The levels of interaction are just too different. this is so fun! I don't even mind lack of severe angst. ;)

This drama is great... I've already seen all subtitled episodes and I'm dying for the subs for ep.11 to come out... so unless you want to almost die of anticipation like me, you should take this drama slowly ^_^ It's so enjoyable, I wish I had done that... but when I love a drama, I just can't control myself...

This drama is going to be classic if it stays as good as it has been so far. I'm totally in love with almost all the characters. Have you met the Japanese guy, Sun Ki yet? PRETTY. Keep watching! it just gets better from episode 2!

This drama is shaping up to be at the top of my favorites. I'm not gonna spoil you or anything, but trust me, it just gets better and better. The drama! The cross dressing! The sexual confusion that ensues because of the cross dressing! The UST! Oh my! It's the stuff of dreams, I tell you.

And, while I'm here- and because I can't post a comment without coming off as completely shallow- when the hell did Gong Yoo get so dreamy, anyway? I mean he was adorable in Biscuit Teacher and all, but COME ON! I nearly had a stroke when he appeared in the first episode.

Ahh, I LOVE Coffee Prince. It's my current obsession, and I can't seem to stop rewatching all the episodes. I've even taken to watching the episodes raw, while waiting for the subs. Can't wait to read more of your reviews!! ^_^
