This is ridiculous. I should not be wet-eyed barely 20 minutes into the first ep of Proposal Daisakusen which is supposed to be light-hearted and funny and off-beat.

And it is all of those things. But somehow Yamapi can get to me in a way a lot of jdrama actors can't and I find myself tearing up (!!!!) over the look on his face as he watches the slides of Rei from when she was a little girl progressing through to adulthood because he's loved her almost that long.

He's got such an expressive face and eyes. And I really like the leading lady btw. A lot of jdrama actresses annoy me (OMG, the female lead in Long Vacation. Like nails on chalkboard) but she is adorable. I can see why Yamapi's character, Ken, is in love with her. I've liked her in Takki's R&J too. What else has she been in? She is not Inoue Mao level of awesome but she is pretty pretty neat.

And you get the sense (if her reaction to his congrats speech) is anything, she might have liked him too. I wonder what happened. The look on his face as he sees her kiss her brand new husband? *sniff*

P.S. It's funny to abbreviate it to 'ProDai' because 'prodai' in Russian is a command form of the verb 'prodavat' which means to 'sell' So by saying 'prodai' you are basically demanding someone sell something to you :)

ETA: Baby!Ken and baby!Rei are the cutest things ever. Like spontaneously creating stuffed animals and rainbows kind of cute.

ETA2: Has there ever been anyone in dramas as sexy as Yamapi? The question is rhetorical.

BTW, 8 eps intothe anime Xand you might like it...very pretty and it's essentially angsy bishie central(one of whom reminds me of Aoshi, though I can't quite put my fingers on absolutely why)

I started crying during the "Yamapi runs to his best friend's wedding" scene, and I knew I had to stop and save it for when I was less overwrought. I have yet to watch the rest but I am saving it for tomorrow when I get home from the hospital! Nasagawa Masami is adorable. She was Yamapi's love interest in "Dragon Zakura" and they had a lovely chemistry together (then again, Yamapi is capable of igniting chemistry with inanimate objects, so, you know) and she is also in one of my favorite j-movies of all time, Touch (there is angst! childhood love! and baseball!).

The whole scene where Rei's walking down the aisle? And if you didn't already know better you'd think she was walking down the aisle towards him?!.

I may or may not have taken hundreds of screencaps just of his face (And then another hundred on him in his suit) during that scene.

I was crying too!! I got really teary at his speech. I felt really silly since it is really supposed to be fun dorama as well. I can't wait for subs for episode 2 to be out! I heard next one is even better! EEE!! ProDai is definately my shiny new love. Btw, Bambino just came out!! You have to at least check out the first episode! *tempts* :D

That's interesting!! Well Yamapi is great at promoting products. I've heard he creates a frenzy with every product he promotes. His newest item is the new Toshiba laptop and the funny thing is he's not computer savy. XD

Yamapi seems to get a lot of flack for his 'lack of acting skills' and apparently 'non-expressive eyes'. I can not understand where that comes from?? I think he has wonderfully expressive eyes!

I keep tearing up whilst watching this! Just finished ep 2 (without subs cause I'm obsessed) and the love keeps growing.

It definately helps that Yamapi is the hottest thing on two legs ;)

yeah i almost teared when i saw how he was looking at the slideshow and remembering all the times he could have told her how he felt and now its too late since she married someone else.. and is it just me or did he look really cute in his baseball uniform???
