dangermousie | The love that dare not speak its name - except in Korean cinema it seems

The trailer for the upcoming Korean period epic Frozen Flower, about a gay Korean King and his bodyguard lover (Joo Jin Mo and Jo In Sung, respectively) has finally come out.

And then, showing that this movie is going to get pretty twisted, the King is made to marry (hello, heirs don't come from In Sung! :P) and decides the best thing to do was to have his bodyguard lover sleep with the Queen in his place. (The girls at dc insung took a looooot of caps of this, LOL). If I were the Queen, I'd stab my husband to death asap, after that sort of thing.

Ummm, you know what's scary? I have no idea if this is the King or the Bodyguard with her...

OK, now the Queen is probably homicidal but the Bodyguard guy doesn't look very pleased either.

I have no idea what the message of the movie would be, but I figure 'don't make your lover sleep with your wife' should figure somewhere in there.

Amusing side note: Jo In Sung is the guy who a lot of people (he was the frontrunner in internet polls) including yours truly really wanted for Domyouji (even if objectively speaking I knew he was too old). Now I am imagining Domyouji swanning about as a gay bodyguard chief and LOLing at the image that presents :)
