This one brings on the ANGST. And is mainly about the awesomeness of the OTP.

He is being blackmailed and now he will think Jia Di was in on it, and that's like the worst thing, precisely designed to trigger his issues, and so we'll get the horrible scene at the mall and then the scene (I posted already) with the 'kidnapping'/explanation/apology but by then it will be too late. I need to rewatch shippy scenes with him and this otp in DBY like, right now!

He is waiting to confront her now:

Meanwhile, she is clueless. And is excited about meeting him:

Huo Da, however, is not excited. He is, in fact, downright angsty. Btw, why do I get the feeling he only hooked onto YS, the 'other girl' because she was the one girl that was close to the family and didn't loathe him utterly. It wasn't really love, you know. And also, if he grew up in a healthy environment, he could have never liked someone who treated him this way. Ooops, this is picspam, into meta, must not slip!:

He so progressed from thinking her sushi wasn't something he wanted to try :)

Oh God, poor Jia Di! Bringing him her present. You know, even looking at the stills, I feel like crying for her (and for him, in retrospect, a little, because he he wrecked his chance with her for good, and he is a good guy, just not the shining prince she thought, but someone who has quite a lot of issues of his own):

You are going to be SO SORRY you acted like that, Huo Yan!

(in case you can't tell, he threw the money at her)

OMG. Huo Da who followed her there, sees:

So does the evil seconday girl, but while my heart is breaking for Jia Di, with some spillover for Huo Yan and Huo Da, the only way I'd feel sorry for secondary girl is if someone set her on fire. And then only because it would be a waste of matches.

If I didn't love Huo Da then, I would now. As stunned and destroyed Jia Di rushes off, he grabs her hand, but not to stop her, or force his company on her, but just to make sure she will be OK:

Huo Yan, you are suddently very smackable:

Have you noticed how psycho he goes when anything or anyone harms or threatens to harm Jia Di? A big part of the reason Jia Di was first attracted to Huo Yan was because he was kind, but he is well-bred, not necessarily kind (though I love him to bits). Huo Da, however, is amazingly kind to her, isn't he? Immature or not (and he is growing up), he is a very considerate and caring guy and he always puts her first:

Jia Di's awesome friend confronts Huo Yan:

So ironic because this applies not to Jia Di but to Huo Yan but he doesn't know it yet:

OH. OH. OH. YES. Ho Da won't let even the evil Secondary Girl (who he thinks he loves) to speak badly of Jia Di. And he is very perceptive, isn't he? Evil secondary girl doesn't want him, but she is still proprietary and he knows that:

Oh, evil secondary girl, you did NOT just say that!

*hugs him SO hard*

Oh man, I *died* in this scene, when he speaks up for Jia Di, and how she so knows the value of money so she would never sell herself cheaply and...OMG. That is why the OTP is so perfect. It's not just hormones, or 'he has issues/she has issues' stuff that so many dramas love (though it's here, too), but that they genuinely like each other, know each other, understand each other. They are friends first, before anything:

Evil secondary girl sees Jia Di come in in the middle of this (and hear Huo Da's defense of her. It must be so important to her, to be this steadfastly believed) and tries to insult her. Seriously, she's not too bright:

Because girl he thinks he loves or not, he is going to tell her where to go (and that's the thing. I get the sense he would do it for any friend):

And evil girl leaves, and he is so upset Jia Di is upset!

So he tries to cheer her up in every way he can think of, but it's not really working :)

Here, he is pouring coins back and forth:

And then finally, after everything he tried failed (heee, I have no caps of him pretending his crutch was a gun and he was in fake trenches. Seriously, when the OTP has kids, it will be SO adorable), he goes to her at the balcony and hobbles up from his wheelchair and tells her to fight back all the horrible stuff and be tough. And he teaches her to yell out her frustration from the roof, to yell at the world. I died:

Teach her, boy. She NEEDS to learn to be first for someone, someone's most important thing! Not that she had a great deal of that before, but Huo Yan trampled on a lot of her existing self-worth, there in the mall...

And after that follows the awesome 'he is wiping her tears with his fingers' scene I already screencapped.

OMG! They fell asleep together on his sofa. AWWWWW:

And then he wakes up. I love the happy/posessive way he looks at her here:

And then he tries to find out what really happened with the pictures:

Oh MAN, he looks mad! You so do NOT mess with Jia Di in his eyes...

He even shows up at the evil parental home, to talk to Huo Yan and tell him to go back to Jia Di. Yes, these are the first words out of his 'loving' father's mouth. Ugh. I so HATE him.

Oh GOD, he is so awesome. He is totally standing for Jia Di and Jia Di's happiness and uncowed by his evil father and...*thud*

And oh, he knows Jia Di for what she is, and he knows evil secondary girl for what she is, too:

But HY and JD are fighting again because she found out he paid off her Uncle (and the thing is, normally she'd just be grateful, but after he threw money in her face, she is super sensitized to be as equal as she can):
