It Started with a Kiss. it's over :(

dangermousieYes, I finished It Started with a Kiss which was perfect except for the fact that it ended.
How much do I love the scene after the proposal (btw, intense ZS with wet hair=hot) when she is afraid it's all a dream so he pulls her in for a hug and he tells her he really loves her and they fall asleep together? THIIIIIIIS MUCH.
But not as much as what follows (and I really love that this drama deals with all the reprecussions and everything and doesn't just cut out on ILYs). Because Director Bai is really mad about ZS ditching his granddaughter so not only did he withdraw his financial support but he's pressured banks not to lend them money either. And ZS is stressing and going crazy (and he feels guilty) and XQ shows up bringing him dinner (and overhears) and when she comes in, he just exhaustedly puts his head in her lap (well, as much as it's possible to put one's head in a lap of someone who is standing up). I really really like that it shows that the world doesn't necessarily end on a perfect kiss but you have to deal with pesky real life and complications and outcomes of your decision.
And then OMG OMG OMG, Xiang Qin goes to Director Bai's offices, and it's clear she's waited all night and tries to speak to him in the hallway but he completely ignores her. And so she drops on her knees and insists that she is going to stay like this in the lobby until he talks to her. And that is one of the reasons there can be no better partner for ZS than XQ. Yes, she is no genius. Yes, she is scatterbrained. But she loves him so utterly and is willing to sacrifice anything, including her happiness (as she will prove again shortly) and her dignity for him. And Director Bai ignores her and just says to his flunkie he is curious how long she can stand like that.
And then as she is sort of standing there, zoning out, Zhi Shu is there!!!! And I bet he rushed over as soon as he found out. And he tries to talk her out of it (he teases her that she's watched too many dramas. Heh. Did she watch Goong by chance? Though Shin should have watched ISWAK and learned how to react in this situation). But she insists she'll stay here 3 days and nights if necessary and she adds she feels bad about Hui Lan. So he (adorably) teases her that maybe if they behaved so badly he should go and ask HL to take him back and she freaks a bit because she is still insecure and he pouts (!!!) a bit about her not realizing how much he loves her and he quick kisses her (!!!!!!) in the hallway (!!!!!). And she refuses to get up no matter how much he coaxes so he starts walking away and then, a second later, she looks up, and he is back beside her and then...OMG...and then...OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG and it's my favorite scene in the whole drama, even more so than the kiss in the rain or the wedding video, or his running with her to the hospital or anything else, he just matter of factly drops on his knees beside her. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In his crisp spiffy suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zhi Shu, who is all proper behavior and control and appearance and everything!!!!!!!! In the middle of the super busy hallway!!!!!!! And it's obviously utter abasement and everyone can see and he doesn't care and he just does it like that! Right after he's been musing that the hardest thing for him to do is to bend his pride!!!!!!! OK, did I overdo on the exclamation points? I don't care.
And he basically tells her if she is going to be there for 3 days he will too. And OMG, they end up there for hours and what I love more than anything, he is basically doing it not because he wants to save the company or whatever (because he doesn't believe this will accomplish anything), but he is OK with humiliating himself for nothing because he won't let her to humiliate and/or hurt herself by herself but he will share it with her and take care of her the best way he can. I literally shrieked when the camera cut to them some hours later, and they are still kneeling and he is holding his head straight so she can rest her head on his shoulder and she is sort of leaning into him and he is supporting her so she would be as little uncomfortable as is humanly possible even if he is horribly uncomfortable himself. I just love how he will try to change her mind if he thinks it's futile or silly or whatever, but ultimately, if she insists, he will be there for her, to take care of her, and to do what she wants. (Heeeee, she's the boss of him? :P)
And Hui Lan basically talks Director Bai into giving them a chance (she has an excellent point that Zhi Shu was basically selling himself to her and she knew it and ultimately it would have been a bad thing for a marriage foundation) and so Director Bai comes out and he says he'll talk to XQ for a minute only and I love how Zhi Shu is automatically helping XQ to get up and he is so focused on her and poor XQ is all stiff and has trouble walking and he is just so focused on her throughout the whole scene. He always had a heck of a XQ radar, even before he knew he liked her, heck, before he liked her, but now it's ramped up to 11. And the way he helps her to a chair and everything. OMG.
And Director Bai asks XQ if she would agree to give up ZS if he promised in exchange to provide support blah blah and ZS indignantly says no way but XQ thinks about it and you see it's killing her but she agrees. So Director Bai sighs and says he doesn't want enemies in this business and basically proceeds with the business deal anyway so everything is OK!!!
And I love Zhi Shu apologizing for hurting Hui Lan and bowing very deeply. And Bai asks if HL lacked anything and ZS says that she is perfect, there is no lack in her, but you can't control your feelings. And they walk off, and ZS is still supporting XQ. I think in some ways, that's the worst thing for HL. ZS isn't a bastard or anything. He is a decent guy who loves another woman and is really sorry for the pain he caused and that's a lot harder to deal with.
Anyway, then we get a vert emo scene with Ah Jin (and I love how there, ZS is also all about holding XQ and making sure she is OK). And it also turns out ZS can go and study be a doctor after all which is glee inducing.
And then there is wedding planning and XQ is still not super-confident, though she is getting there more and more. And then she finds out about the hospital kiss from the little brother and eeeeee!
Then we get the wedding video which is the funniest sweetest thing ever. Because she is all blushy and giggly and happy and he is annoyed with his Mom for filming and tries to be all cool and indifferent but XQ teases him into being all boyish and mushy and I love the look on his face during all this because it's 'Argh, it's going to be on camera, I am going to die of embarassment but but but but...don't want XQ think I don't love her and I totally have to convince her I do and I totally love her and I have to tell her how much' and that whole thing is adorably adorably adorable.
And she reminds him of the promise he made when she was kneeling (if she succeeded he'll do what she wants).
Heh.
So we get the wedding. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. Where the bridesmaids wear tuxes and the grooms dresses, and then XQ shows up in a white tux (btw, the wedding is in the park where they had their first date) and then OMG (I am giggling just remembering it), Zhi Shu shows up...wearing a wedding dress and a veil!!!! Heeeee. Seriously, I was laughing so hard I nearly died.
And they have their wedding ceremony and there is some hot kissing but...Zhi Shu. Over 6 feet tall. Broad shouldered in proportion. In wedding dress. And veil. (They HAD to have had that dress custom made). In public. In front of all those guests. Zhi Shu, all about propriety. ROFL. I would have loved to see the scene where she was coaxing him to do this. And it really fits with the whole theme of the thing: that he is so tightly controlled, so reserved, except with her and she can make him do the goofiest things and have fun. Because, funnily enough, he does. He has fun at this crazy topsy-turvy wedding, while when his mother was planning a nice traditional one he was near ready to climb the walls and was super grouchy. The only thing he is rather annoyed about is that it's raining so it's a pain to wear a long dress in the rain. Heeeee. And they sort of fall into the water and there is more kissing and the whole thing is priceless.
Oh boy, she is so going to boss him. He is going to be wound around her little finger :P
And I am a sick sick girl but I want sex scenes.
And then we get the bloopers which are super funny too.
