Still obsessed with K.O. 3an Guo, as you can tell. I think it's the combo of it appealing to my rather twisted sense of humor (usually dramas which are supposed to be funny do not work for me. But a lot of animes do and this is the most anime-like I've ever seen a drama so this may explain it) and me somehow actually liking many of the characters. Hopefully they won't be biting the dust at TK rates. If something bad happens to Guan Yu, we are going to have WORDS, drama!

Seriously, Lu Bu is basically teen girl katnip. Ironically, for every teen girl except Diao Chan, who has a surprisingly common-sense head on those pretty shoulders, and if she knew the whole deal, would drop him like a hot potato in two second flat.










Bwahahaha. OK, you win, I sort of like him despite myself. I guess it's Lu Bu versus the Three Brothers only these are the wrong brothers, LOL.













They are fighting in their mind. I laughed much too hard.







Can Guan Yu be any cooler? Honestly, the main reason I ship GY/DC is because he wants her. DC herself leaves me fairly indifferent. I don't dislike her but I am not fond of her either. I much prefer Xiao Qiao though.

Lu Bu tries go goad Guan Yu into a fight. Like I said, can Guan Yu be any cooler? Also, with all the staring, I am beginning to wonder if they are using DC as a proxy and are actually hot for each other.

Lu Bu did finally manage to convince Guan Yu to fight but Diao Chan breaks it up in the cheesiest scene ever. I loled so hard, you guys.

Well, if by 'sail into the sunset' you means 'die a gruesome death but still in love', it's Lu Bu/Diaochan. He gets executed and she kills herself. Guan Yu/Diaochan are not only not an OTP in the original, they don't even ever meet.

However, here (thankfully for my sanity), Guan Yu/Diaochan are the end-game and end up together after a bunch of angst. Lu Bu still dies though.

LOL I'm feeling rather sorry for Lu Bu. He kind of reminds me of Four with his evil-intentions-turned-into-true-love thing and the girl dumping him just when he's ready to turn over a new leaf. A part of me is screaming for Diao Chan to forgive the evil plots and ride off into the sunset with him, but then poor Guan Yu will be heartbroken.

Randomly, I find myself totally overcome with the urge to pluck her eyebrows whenever I see Diao Chan. She's so pretty, but omg the eyebrows.

Pretty much, except he hasn't really tried to have anyone killed, poor thing. He hasn't even harmed anyone yet. Oh well. (I am also betting they made his daddy abusive to give him a reason to jump ship because having daddy lust after high school girl is pretty skeezily beyond this drama).
