It Started with a Kiss OWNS me.
Sep. 20th, 2006 11:56 pmEeeee! Ep 8 cracks me up and makes me squee.
Actually forget squee. It's MAD LOVE.
Because I am in the middle of it and then I just died.
Also, Zhi Shu is my dorama boyfriend.
I was going to write about all sorts of things but forget about it. Because OMG OMG OMG OMG!
He carried her. HE CARRIED HER. IN HIS ARMS. AND ON HIS BACK THROUGH THE WHOLE CITY.
OMG.
I am dead.
That match was the best thing EVER. I love that she conceals the fact that her foot is injured because she doesn't want him to lose. And I love that he isn't yelly but tells her not to worry and she has him backing her up. Eeeee! And then she hits the ball for the first time ever (though she doesn't return the serve) and she is all 'Oh no, ZS is going to yell at me.' But instead he smiles a bit and tells her very gently, 'Dummy, you hit the ball.' HEEEEEE. And then she finally returns the serve. EEEEE! And collapses because her foot finally gives out. And OMG, he is totally right there and all concerned and gentle and hovering really close and he asks her quietly when she hurt her foot and she says 'last night' and he asks her, still quietly, why she didn't tell him something was wrong when he asked her, and when she replies 'because then you'd lose and have to dress up as a woman' I love the look on his face.
And then he just tells opponent guy they forfeit and tells her it's OK, they won anyway, and he picks her up in his arms and carries her out. And even though he is very competitive, he completely ignores opponent's goading as if it was empty air.
And then they are walking down the street very slowly and she says she is OK and 'we can walk slowly, I have time.' And he snaps at her that she might have time but he doesn't and starts walking fast, and like a puppy, she starts hobbling after him to keep up. And after a microsecond of this, he stops, and goes 'OK, letme carry you.' And he carries her piggyback for ages, all over the city and up the stairs of her place.
OMG. LOVE.
In other news, I totally LOVE the anime/manga club. When they tell XQ that they've chosen her as the subject of their yearly comic as the only female member and show her her application they rescued from the trash, it's hilarious. And ZS cracking up in the background is even better.
And OMG, I hate princessy girl being such a bitch, as much as saying she thinks XQ is inadequate. Can someone hit her in the head with a tennis ball? And her confession of love to ZS? It's the most ridiculous awful thing ever, sort of 'I know you are a snob, so I am a snob too.' Ugh. XQ makes ZS human but princessy girl is trying to play on all his worst traits, and turn him back into an icicle.
But how much do I love the fact that ZS is not paying any attention because he is distracted by hearing XQ giggle with that guy in dreads. And he totally is jealous though he'd never show it. When he is carryig her upstairs, he totally brings it up. He might pretend he doesn't care, but oh boy, does he.
Also, the bit where XQ reveals that it's ZS who cooked all those meals as he sinks into his chair and pulls his shirt up is hilarious. I love this show.
Heeee, when they get to her house and it's empty and no furniture and she can't find her Dad, I love his asking her 'what now, homeless child?' all cracking up. He is such a tease.

Oh, and you were right about Ah Jin -- in my last comment, I got him mixed up with dreds guy. (I love the scene where he and XQ are plotting and laughing together, and ZS sneaks up behind them all mean and snarky and you know he's just dyyyying inside and I love it.)

Date: 2006-09-21 12:14 pm (UTC)I also love how he's kinda constantly being surprised by her, and how amusing he finds her... like when she hit the ball, but didn't realize it and apologizes to him. He's slightly exasperated, but also highly amused by it... and, aww, when he tells her it's okay because she's not alone? So great.

Date: 2006-09-21 03:37 pm (UTC)I love the fact that he is so amused by her. He has a pretty dry sense of humor but he doesn't really seem to use it before she disarranges his life, or even find things amusing before he met her. It's like his ability to enjoy life and have fun was locked up before he met her.
I am seriously amused at his excuse for taking her to his house. "My Mom will kill me" indeed. Admit it, boy, you just worry about her :)

When my sister watched with me, she was like I don't care if she is acting, if I ever see her on the street I'm going to kill her LOL. So annoying. The dreads guy is hilarious.
And Joe Cheng continues to be hot and kill me. Oh! A
