In honor of Kingdom of Heaven opening here tomorrow at midnight (I am seriously contemplating going), here are some pics. [livejournal.com profile] ancarett I hope your daughter likes :)

In case you have not been rendered unconsious by the following picture,

Orlando has a few words to say to you:

You WILL like my movie:

What do you mean "Why?"

Because I have a big hunking sword, that's why. What do you have, a stapler?

And I know how to use it, matey!

Also, I can ride you down on my big bad horse:

Besides, don't you want to see me smile wistfully?

Or brood artistically?

I am a good brooder:

Even Liam Neeson likes it:

Also, my outfits are perfectly color-coordinated while I brood:

I look good by firelight:

And in daylight:

And I angst:

And there are wenches. Who are very impressed by my sword:

And I am manly:

And thoughtful:

And oh-so-pretty:

And I prove, once and for all, that I do have a chin:

Have I mentioned I brood?

She's off watching HHGttG with her dad or she'd be in full squee mode over these.

Excellent photo essay. If he weren't young enough to be my son (almost!) I'd be squeeing, too.

LOL about your comments. He *is*about 7 years younger than I am, but, boy, is he pretty ;-). But I'm still suspicious about his ability to do justice to his role in this film... Well, I'll see tomorrow.

Oooo...the eyeliner...look at the pretty eyeliner.

Oh the many facial expressions of Orlando Bloom.

Reminds me of Vivek in Kisna.

OMG. I would have never thought so, but you are right. There is something Vivekish there. I liked Kisna though (redeemed him in my eyes after the atrocious KHGN) so no complaint.

ROFL. Surely you don't mean the "dead sexy" expression :) Yeah, these tend to be on the broody side. Yum.

ROFL. Eye-liner...well, maybe Depp rubbed off on him :P

Well, I am an unabashed Orlando fan, so I'll see it for the 2.5 hours of the pretty...

Hey, no articifial barriers to squeeing, I say. After all, apparently Colin Farrell landed in the news earlier today because he propositioned a 70 year olf for sex :P

see, I totally fell in love with Vivek in saathiya. I was awaiting Kisna like crazy, listenning to the soundtrack in loop for a few hours a day. But it was such a huge dissapointment, I wanted to love it so much and Vivek with long hair and all, it was meant to be for me.. But it did let me down..
KHGN was awefull, but I still very much enjoy that weird drinking number at the beginning, kinda russian hymn, Pyaar Mein Sau Uljhanein. I dunno, I just love this song...

I liked Saathiya a lot, but I guess I didn't go into Kisna with huge expectations (not a big Subhash Ghai fan), so maybe that is why I enjoyed it so much. KHGN? I wanted to gouge my eyes out :D

See, it's me, your darling coz

Yay for fangirling!!! I love my cohorts. :D He's so pretty, I don't care what the movie is like.

Am I the only one who actually thinks he can act, though? He and Hayden. I see more acting chops on both of them then other people seem to...I guess being an unabashed fangirl can do that to a person?

OMfriggin'G! *drooooolll* With these incredibly yummy pictures and hilarious comments, you just made it that much easier to wait another 6 hours before I get to see the movie! Oi, the anticipation!

I hope this movie is incredibly slashy *g*.

Why? I don't think the Crusaders were big on the slash thing :P

Some of them were . . . Richard the Lionhearted?

But mostly because I either want this movie to be absolutely fantastic, or very slashy or both for the sake of my own enjoyment. Since the former cannot be relied upon *cough* Troy, Arthur, Alexander *cough*, I will pin my hopes on the latter.

I don't like you :) I have to wait 30 hours...

LOL. I don't like slash (that's a rant for another time), but I don't think I have much to worry on that score here. I actually enjoyed Troy, though it was by no stretch of imagination a masterpiece, because it was a fun sword-and-sandals with a LOT of beefcake (shallow, moi?)

I think they are both good actors. I don't think Orlando is going to make Sir Ian McKellen worry any time soon, but he is quite adequate. Wanna see horrid, watch Josh Hartnett.

From: [identity profile] linaerys.livejournal.com
I certainly don't see slash everywhere like a lot of people do--and that's MY rant for another time.

I enjoyed Troy too (and wrote a long parody of it), but it had many problems. And it could have had a better script and STILL been full of gorgeous beefcake. Eric Bana as Hector made me swoon.

From: [identity profile] elvensapphire.livejournal.com
Well, Ian McKellan is one of those actors in a class that's all his own.

That makes me want to watch LOTR!

Ugh...Don't get me started on Josh Hartnett, Ben Affleck, or Ashton Kutcher. I don't think any of them are even attractive, forget the fact that they cannot act. While people were busy fangirling over them, I was thinking they were all nuts and quietly collecting pictures of Orlando and Hayden. ;D

I don't like slash (that's a rant for another time) Me, neither. Part of why I'm not a big fanfic reader.

I enjoyed Troy because of the pretty, so shallowness is allowed!! And I thought Eric Bana did a terrific job with what he had to work with. I even thought Orlando did well, being that his character wasn't all together likeable. It's Brad as Achilles that I had trouble with, but he sure was nice to drool over!

And thus showing your excellent taste. The three you mentioned make me shudder. *ugh*

I rewatched the EE of ROTK recently and swoooooooon.....

From: [identity profile] elvensapphire.livejournal.com
I know. Blah! You have excellent taste as well, obviously. *grins*

The EE of ROTK is so wonderful. The little glimpse we get of Faramir and Eowyn makes me cry. (Hopeless romantic? Me?! hehe)

Oh yes. F&E. My book OTP (never cared for A&A in the book, though loved them in the movie). I was so glad that was in the EE.

Date: 2005-05-05 05:25 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elvensapphire.livejournal.com
Well, A&A never really get to interact in the book like F&E do, so there's not much that connects you to them. But Liv and Viggo are incredible together. I just wish the scene of Faramir kissing Eowyn on the wall had been in the movie.

Oh yes. With their hair mingling in the wind. *sigh*

Tolkien wrote that scene so beautifully, it would have been wonderful on film. That's one of the only complaints I have...

Oops, sorry... :) Saw it, loved it. As a historian I have a few words to say, but as a fangirl, I regress to the level of ooh's and aah's and sizeable puddles of drool. And no critique whatsoever. :) Feel free to read my long and winding ponderings about the movie at www.poolofthought.blogspot.com.
