There was this film called Bichunmoo which half-sucked but was still somewhat more interesting to me than Crouching Tiger. I should probably see Oldboy or whatever that famous recent-ish Korean film is called.

My only real issue with Bichunmoo was that they cut the scene where one of the characters changes his name so that made for a great big WTF moment. Me and my friend watched it THREE times before we caught on what the deal was and understood the whole movie.
