Queen In Hyun's Man ep 13 - the one which gave me a coronary

This episode left me a gibbering mess and needing ep 14 asap.



I love how this episode dealt with all the consequences of the talisman - there is no safety now that the bad guys figured out the truth and turn it against Bong Do. It was horrible to see him stagger around Seoul wounded (because the talisman might prevent death but it doesn't prevent horrible wounds), but even worse seeing him realize what it means and later reading the Annals, his worst nightmares coming true. And my heart bled for Hee Jin, the truth of the violent time BD lives in coming home to her when he is in the ER (and her face when she sees those arrows coated in his blood). And of course she tries to keep the truth of the changed past from him but cannot and their last phone conversation broke me - it takes so much courage and honor to do what BD does, to go back knowing there is a good chance he'd get gruesomely executed, but he is not the type of person who could blissfully live with HJ and not be crippled by guilt. But my heart just breaks breaks breaks for the two of them.

Oh God, please give them a happy ending, drama!

This drama keeps bringing it every episode. I don't know how, but it just keeps getting better. Episode 14 is going keep you on one hell of a roller coaster ride, so be prepared.

Isn't sweaty Boong-Do incredibly hot? My favorite look. :D

Isn't it lovely how Boong-Do calmly lays out the reasons for returning to Joseon to Hee-Jin? That little speech alone has made this episode my favorite.

What are your thoughts about Yoon-Wol? She is turning out to be such an incredible secondary lead female.

I will stand strong and alone in loving 13 more than 11/12 combined and ^^ JHW works better for me being serious and brooding and angsting and bleeding and in PAIN than smiling, me so horrible and weird.

I will love this drama forever more just on the fact it's giving me 2 perfectly written girlfriends we wanna hug and feed and hug some more in HJ and YW whiling loving them to bits being real.

13 is not the best for me of QIHM, but it steered drama back to it's old trajectory of plenty of whimsy and heavy plots with much more at stake than 11,12 offered.

I've been watching this show with Chinese subtitles (I can't read them very fast at all) and a handy recap because I just. Couldn't. Wait.

It's not really doing me much good in subs. If I'm listening to something in Chinese, then I can glance at the sub for helping with parts I don't understand, but with Korean I have to pause every line and try to figure it out, so... that's why I need recap :)

I watched 14 side-by-side with the recap from DramaTalk. I'll just tell you this, he has more faith in modern medicine than I do. And HJ should consider buying insurance at some point.

I swear this show keeps getting better each episode. Fourteen looks like it's going to be an angstfest and I can.not. wait. I'm so sad that I'm all caught up because waiting for subs is torture.

I love Bong Do. I loved watching him walk around modern day Seoul, blood trickling down his fingers, as he pieced the entire conspiracy together so accurately. I always thought I liked the bad boy characters the best but I'm starting to think that the smart ones might be my faves after all.
