I loved it. It is probably going to become my favorite out of the three Wednesday-Thursday dramas. I like the mix of dark and grittiness and twists.

Shockingly, I am in love with the teen cast and don't even want the adults to come on but the whole story to revolve around the kids. That pretty much never happens. I dislike Jae Il but he is a fascinating character - high-strung, smart, selfishly inadequate and too aware of it. I have nothing but love for scrappy, tough, warm Sun Woo.

The vibe reminds me somewhat of Resurrection, never a bad thing.

My one complaint is the music director. He should be taken out and tranqed for his own good because the scoring of horribleness ruins many a scene. I am glad he was able to get "Classical Music's Greatest Hits" on sale, but he really doesn't need to use it at maximum volume every two minutes. He should learn from the cinematographer who is making this look to die for.

Oh, and I know I am going to ship SW and the rock girl because that was a hell of a scene

Yup, plus Love Rain if it's good. Who needs sleep?

I haven't watched King2Hearts yet but even without checking that one out I have a feeling this is going to be the one I'll be following weekly. The story does seem like a very twisty one. Me likey...

Yeah, that was my initial reaction too. The score was really jarring, especially in the 1st epi. Cinematography is so pretty, plus I love the young cast and find it kinda funny that Lee Hyun Woo is playing the younger version of UTW again. The boy has sure grown up nicely. ;P SiWan is not bad either, definitely one of the better idol to actor transitions.

Btw. Did you notice that OCN's Hero has started as well? I've watched both episodes and it's a keeper. It'll probably be the other one I'm going to follow on weekly bases. No subs anywhere yet though but I really hope they'll materialise at some point.

It calmed down by the end of the first ep but in the beginning the score was so OTT as to make the scenes almost a parody.

I've seen LHW somewhere - I really like him. You know how much I loathe childhood portions so for me to dread their ending says something.

I'd love to watch Hero but there is no way I am delving in without subs.

I couldn't get past the overwrought score when I tried TEM so I just gave up within the first 5 min. Had a bad headache already and couldn't deal with it. But everyone swears it gets much better in ep. 2 and I'm going to try again anyway since it's the drama I anticipated the most.

He should learn from the cinematographer who is making this look to die for.

But if it's the PD who has the final say on both matters... he's not responsible for the score but if only he could prevail on how to use it. Either way, the composer/music director also got hammered for his supposedly awful work on Brain last year and all the good ones are taken right now so TEM's stuck.

Yeah, I wish they could have gotten whoever did Mawang.

The score calmed down by end of ep 1 but first half really was best watched on mute, which is a pity because everything else about the ep was pitch-perfect.

Dangermousie, aren't you the kdrama blogger who abhors the children period? If I am remembering correctly, your praise for the teen cast is indeed significant.

The child cast comment was mine, btw.

Yup, that's me. I love kids in real life, but want them out of my fiction. This is very rare, for me to love the kid cast. I think the last time that happened was East of Eden.
