The Equator Man initial impressions
Mar. 26th, 2012 10:03 amI loved it. It is probably going to become my favorite out of the three Wednesday-Thursday dramas. I like the mix of dark and grittiness and twists.
Shockingly, I am in love with the teen cast and don't even want the adults to come on but the whole story to revolve around the kids. That pretty much never happens. I dislike Jae Il but he is a fascinating character - high-strung, smart, selfishly inadequate and too aware of it. I have nothing but love for scrappy, tough, warm Sun Woo.
The vibe reminds me somewhat of Resurrection, never a bad thing.
My one complaint is the music director. He should be taken out and tranqed for his own good because the scoring of horribleness ruins many a scene. I am glad he was able to get "Classical Music's Greatest Hits" on sale, but he really doesn't need to use it at maximum volume every two minutes. He should learn from the cinematographer who is making this look to die for.
Oh, and I know I am going to ship SW and the rock girl because that was a hell of a scene
