Oh, how hot and gorgeous will FSF/Crystal Liu be? OMG. And with battles and tragedy and costumes and...ummm, is it wrong to find Liu Bang sexy too? Because Leon Lai does it for me in a major way. ILY, Emperor Gaozu - ok, I felt v.v. weird even typing that.

Am extra amused because it means FSF gets to be Xiang Yu regardless of Yu Zheng's wishes in the matter.

Also, not that I am complaining - I am a majorly happy camper - but why the rash of Xiang Yu-Liu Bang movies/dramas lately? In addition to this and Yu Zheng's drama with Ming Dao, there is also an upcoming movie with Yang Mi (who is presumably portraying neither Xiang Yu nor Liu Bang), called Last Banquet (also as per my cstuff guru hanjae).

This is also an odd coincidence because I am currently reading Mark Edward Lewis' "The Early Chinese Empires: Qin and Han" and it has this hilarious (to me) passage about Liu Bang:

As a youth, Gaozu refused to work in his family's business and instead spent his time drinking and carousing with similarly inclined friends. During his rise to power, Gaozu even tried to throw his own children out of a carriage to aid his escape. When his father was taken prisoner by Xiang Yu and threatened with being boiled and eaten (DM: wtf? Boiled, fine, but why eaten? Surely they had some chickens or pigs), Gaozu asked to share the soup. Can You Hear My Obsession?

I am so obsessed, it's not funny. I kept thinking about this drama at random intervals all day and when I think that, since it's just airing, I can't marathon it rabidly, I get a hollow feeling at the pit of my stomach. We finally meet the adult versions of Woori and Dong Joo in ep 5 and both Hwang Jung Eum and Kim Jae Won take over seamlessly - the transition is wonderfully done and it doesn't hurt that the child actor for Dong Joo looks freakishly like KJW, but more importantly than that, they get the vibe right.

In conclusion, does he remember/has he told anyone about stepdad being a murderer? I am confused.

Am working through my drama backlog. Next up Gisaeng (where I am hugely behind) and 49 Days, but for now, I am up through ep 5 of CYHMH, which is all that has been subbed, and I crave more more more more. It's Gloria meets Baker King meets East of Eden meets Spring Waltz. In other words = I love.

Hwang Jung Eum seems to make a career of playing cheerful and indomitable girls with missing siblings who heal screwed up chaebol hotties with evil fathers and major issues through sheer tough and spirited awesomeness, warmth and common sense. Yes pls.

I have also continued with my watch of Will It Snow For Christmas and this scene may be the single most romantic drama scene I've seen in years:
