OK, I have to watch Love Keeps Going pretty much right now!

That's how it's done, kdramas! Add to this that I adore both Mike He and Cyndi Wang and we are set. (I confess I never really fell for Sunny Happiness, even if I enjoyed it, which this seems rather similar to, but for me, Cyndi >>>> Janine).

In other vid news, while I am going crazy waiting for subs for ep 12 of Myung Wol the Spy, have this awesome MV:

Speaking of MVs, have this gorgeous one on Warrior Baek Dong Soo (I love this vidmaker):

You know, despite Yeo Un's fall from grace, I ship him and Ji Sun more than ever. In part because Dong Soo should be Jin Joo's but because I find their dynamics so interesting and chemistry so lovely and it will be even more interesting now he's gone over to the dark side, everything she opposes. I bet the drama will end with DS/JJ, Yeo Un dead and Ji Sun finding peace in a monastery. (Despite their characters being very different I do see one resemblance between them - their lives have been wrecked by their fathers who refused to see them as people but only as symbols.)

Anyone tried Birdie Buddy yet? I am trying but keep getting distracted by our hero's hair:

Dreads is the one hairstyle I do not get the appeal of and to see it in a kdrama about golfers is odd, to say the least. I keep getting completely thrown out of every scene he's in :P

Well, Ji Sun and Yeo Un did also manage to score way better quasi-father figures eventually, even if most of the damage was done by then. (And they're both introverts, though I think Ji Sun was at least something of a natural introvert who became more so due to childhood trauma, while Yeo Un is more the drama standard of becoming an introvert as a defense mechanism.)

Though, I actually think Ji Sun's father did love her, just not enough to let it interfere with Duty.

I've basically figured that that's how the drama would/should end for a while now. (Normally I'd be iffy about a drama where isolation seemed to be the end goal for a female character due to the historical reasons women were actually sent into isolation, but in this case I think it's what would make Ji Sun happy [or at least, as close to happy as she'll get without Sado], and if it were to maintain her current status at the monastery, it's not like she can't still see people if she wants.)

I don't think she loved Sado romantically (I am not sure she can love anyone romantically tbh - she is very emotionally reserved) but she was certainly closest to him out of anyone. The more I see of her and DS, the more I get a feeling it would never work - they'd just make each other miserable.

Nah, it was at least 95% platomic with Sado (I'm leaving room for a possible early crush) an some paternal instinct on his part, but she definitely wanted to stay with him, in some way, for her life, and she had the whole "psychic sense" thing when he died.

I think Dong Soo is largely infatuated with her because she's pretty and lonely and needs help, and he's basically incapable of not wanting everyone around him to be as peppy as he is, and she's infatuated with him because he was/is basically clueless about her obligations and role and is the first one to not want or expect anything from her. (And really, if you look at her body language, she reacts to Jin Joo the same way she did to Dong Soo initially, with the whole "what is with this person will s/he ever actually stop talking at sit still?" thing, but with a higher physical comfort level.) And then you toss in hormones. I don't think it reflects badly on either or makes them shallow, but they really don't seem compatible in the long run. I mean, if nothing else, Dong Soo literally starts wilting and slips off into his personal La La Land if there aren't enough people and enough action around, and while Ji Sun doesn't shun society or anything, she'd rather have peace and quiet and more limited interactions with people. Like most introverts, she only really talks or seeks people out when she wants to or has something to say, as opposed to being prone to just making conversation or wanting to be in a crowd just because. There's a reason he does 90% of the talking in most of their scenes together with her looking at him like she wonders if there's an off switch.

Finally! I pimped "Love Keeps Going" so muuuuuuuuch!

I marathoned the first 10 episodes and now I'm trying to calmly watch the rest (but it's hard because it's very addictive!).

Mmmm, I can't wait to start :)

Are you watching Myung Wol? You might really like it - it's very shippy.

I am! I don't love it, to be honest - I feel like both characters, Eric's particularly int he first half and Myung Wol's in the second, are very thinly sketched - so little development, so little emotional background or depth. And the plot's pretty messy. But I'm enjoying it as a light, addicting romance - Eric and HYS have plenty of chemistry.

Have you seen Fated To Love You? The love scene in that one is great. The girl actually kisses him back....and not only on the mouth. XD

Thank you for posting the Love Keeps Going clips, I just marathoned the first 7 eps today and it's not the best show ever, but it's so addictive. The last twdrama I watched was actually Sunny Happiness, even though I liked the OTP there, I ended up watching mostly for Janine's scenes with the second lead.

I tried the first episode of Birdie Buddy for the lulz and it turned out WAY better than I thought. It's hard not to root for the heroine when Jin Ji Hee (that adorable little child version of Mi Soo) is so winning, but I am with you regarding male lead's dreads. Just WHO'S idea was it? It boggles the mind; it's like they wanted us to not take him seriously. Can't wait til he shaves that mop off. :P

Something I saw in the extended trailer? MV? about the hero's relationship with BOTH girls is bothering me, though. I kind of got the impression that he was playing both, but he looks like such a loser that I can't see it and now I'm just confused (LOL @ him getting knocked out by a sip of soju).

LOLOLOOL he couldn't seduce a desperate woman, with that look, let alone two attractive ones.

LOL it's even WORSE in the poster - have you seen the poster with him on it? His dreads are clearly a wig because it was lopsided.
