Somewhere in episode 3, I fell in love with Hello Miss. Or, more importantly, I fell in love with Dong Gyu (the hero) and my desire to see him get what he wants (namely the heroine) and seeing how that is accomplished.

I have started HM ages ago, and liked it, but didn't love it, so being me, I sidetracked. But even then, I adored Dong Gyu, who is surely one of the sweetest, well-adjusted, and awesome drama heroes out there.

But still, this wasn't a push to watch it again, until [livejournal.com profile] meganbmoore started posting about it.

And sometime in the middle of ep 3 I got to this scene and was a goner.

Grrrrr. Stupid On-Air is being extended by three episodes which means Iljimae will start two weeks later than it was supposed to.

Boooo!

I am sure OA is a nice enough drama, but a show about TV business with no actors I love, or a show with Lee Jun Ki swordfighting and forbidden-loving in period clothes? Come ON. Also, I suppose it moves all their dramas off by two weeks, which also moves Daemul (which I think is after Iljimae?) by two weeks too. Booo. Once again, I am much more of a 'drama about first female President whose enemies scheme to ruin her by hiring a guy to try to seduce her' kinda gal.

Booo. BOOO.

OA is thus going to be 23 episodes. The only dramas I think (except for those horrendously long sageuks, which is another matter entirely) that can be this long and not drag are Hong Gil Dong and The Legend, but both of those had politics and warfare to add to the mix so there was enough stuff for 24 eps. I mean, normally even 24-ep dramas I love, like Bali and Goong, would have benefitted from snippy scissors.

I guess I am just grumpy. Grrr. Boooooo.

Shall you be a Nun and serve the Lord or shall you travel via a gilded boat on the river of sin with a former convict for company?

Obviously the latter.

Don't any of you talk me out of it. My next bingy kdrama is All In starring Lee Byung-Hun and Song Hye Kyo.

I mean, how could I resist! In addition to the usual childhood love stuff, he is a former convict! And she is a Nun who gives it up to become a Las Vegas dealer! And there is Engrish!

So, yes, we have a heroine who goes from this (left) to that (right):

Is it for the love of this?

Well, at least men in prison get great arm muscles:

And she can get this, which is probably not something she can get from Jesus:

[livejournal.com profile] lesbiassparrow got annoyed with the hero, I remember, but I have a much much higher tolerance for bastardy in a hero than she does (I loved QSS). Yesssss...my precious, I shall enjoy you.

There are even, apparently, cowboy hats. And Han Ji Min (Capital Scandal!) plays the younger version of SHK's character and Ji Sung (my newest crush) is in it as well. I shall ogle him as he plots his evil deeds. What could be better?

Please, someone, tell me there is amnesia and a happy ending.

Of course, if my Lobbyist DVDs arrive, all bets are off. I am yearning to see 'Song Il Gook gets beaten to a pulp for the love of a woman' with such a degree of fervor that it probably says something really unhealthy about me. Not that I care.

I lied!

No All In for me!

I have just popped in the first disc of Crazy for You instead, starring Lee Mi-Youn and Yoon Kye-Sang (YUM).

Blame [livejournal.com profile] ladysaotome and her amazing amazing AMAZING Crazy for You MV (unspoilery):

I defy not to want to watch this afterwards!

Yoon Kye-Sang (who I can tell will be my newest dorama crush) accidentally ends up in a traffic accident which results in the death of the other party. He ends up going to prison and once he is out, he is unemployable. However, he finally ends up being hired by Lee Mi-Youn, and slowly love blossoms between them. However, LMY is a woman whose fiance was fatally hit by a car some years ago...

You see where this is going, right?

I am about to turn off my laptop and start.

Still not convinced? Here is a MV of some photoshoot which basically fetishizes YKS:

After seeing this and a video clip of his singing, with spiked hair and earrings, I've decided he would be Haru in my kdrama fantasy casting of Fruits Basket.

Hmmm, I need to find out more about him. All I know is that he was in the popular band G.O.D. and in some kdramas I really want to watch (CfY, Sis-in-law is 19, Who Are You), and was the weirdo who went to do his army service early as opposed to all the other stars who seem to (understandably) put it off until last minute.

I foresee a picspam in my future...

Also, he is my age! YES.

ETA: I've started it and OMG. CfY=LOVE. Also, YKS is goooorgeous. Subtitles on my DVD are rather Engrishy, but I am too impatient to wait for download. YES.
