Title: Star Wars drabble

Disclaimer: Don't own, don't profit etc. Gaaah, doing exactly 100 words is hard.

His lightsaber, slicing with a steady hum through a child with trust in his eyes, small body crumpling.

His hands, tender and patient on her skin, sleepy kisses pressed on her belly, whispers as she falls asleep.

The voice, cold and collected, and the autopilot of his eyes, reflecting back, sharing nothing.

Trying to save her in his nightmares, pleading and hoarse, terror making him shake as she holds him.

Corrupted, innocent, gone forever, always hers.

And she clings to the thought that there is still good in him, because she dares not imagine otherwise, make her life a lie.

Waqt and other bollywood miscelanny

Got my copy of Waqt in the mail so will finally be watching it. Hope it doesn't have the annoying scrolling ads, but will see. Akshay Kumar is slowly growing on me (like a fungus :D) and this is promising one ingredient I require: angst (as in parents throwing you out to make you a man, unless you die of starvation first and take your preggers wife with you).

Also, was rewatching Chup Chupke from Bunty aur Babli, and Rani and Abhishek are the best thing since Kajol and SRK. *le sigh*

And so Waqt pics, just because.

Got my copy of Waqt in the mail so will finally be watching it. Hope it doesn't have the annoying scrolling ads, but will see. Akshay Kumar is slowly growing on me (like a fungus :D) and this is promising one ingredient I require: angst (as in parents throwing you out to make you a man, unless you die of starvation first and take your preggers wife with you).

In need of another fandom

So, what to do?

Farscape is over, and I can rewatch it (and do), but would like something where I haven't seen it all before.

It is years until the next Harry Potter book.

And months till Serenity.

Star Wars is done, at least until a nebulous series in the future.

Jorge Amado is dead and won't be writing any more amazing books for my pleasure.

And Pratchett's latest isn't due until October.

There is no more Lord of the Rings. And Buffy is similarly over (though it was gone long before then).

I have read Wodehouse, Dunnett, Remarque, Bujold and Dickens until I know all the books.

And the new Amelia Peabody books suck.

And "La Dame de Monsoreau" does not, but rereading it will make me bawl.

There is no Bollywood movie coming out that I am excited about until August 12 (The Rising).

And there is only (understandably) one hour a week of BSG.

So, people on my flist, I need a new obsession, to while away the time. Suggestions?

ETA: Thanks guys! Everyone has been really helpful and I have tons of candidates for a new and shiny obssession. Mmmm, I like my flist!
