Title: Star Wars drabble
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Don't own, don't profit etc. Gaaah, doing exactly 100 words is hard.

His lightsaber, slicing with a steady hum through a child with trust in his eyes, small body crumpling.

His hands, tender and patient on her skin, sleepy kisses pressed on her belly, whispers as she falls asleep.

The voice, cold and collected, and the autopilot of his eyes, reflecting back, sharing nothing.

Trying to save her in his nightmares, pleading and hoarse, terror making him shake as she holds him.

Corrupted, innocent, gone forever, always hers.

And she clings to the thought that there is still good in him, because she dares not imagine otherwise, make her life a lie.

So few words to get at the paradox that is Anakin. Well done! The only suggestion I might make would be to use the italics a bit differently. It's mostly a matter of POV--which is hers, right? But of course she wasn't literally present when he was killing younglings, so I was thinking those are the parts that could be italicized... But then you may well have a completely different effect in mind...

I was going for normal font as reality and the italics as her sensory memory, but it's a great point about perspective (hers v. his).

I don't think I have an ability to come up with plot, which would be a killer in a long story :)
