Watching the remake of You're Beautiful, i.e. Ikemen Desu Ne has put me in the mind to rewatch the original and ummmmm ummmmmm ummmmmmm I now have a ridiculous crush on Jang Geun Seok's Tae Kyung and am actually adoring the drama to bits help help help I must be having a brain aneurism.

I think it really helps that I know what to expect (adorablness, shippiness, awesome soundtrack) and what not to expect (deep angst, tight plot, fakecest - I was so sure it would have fakecest, when I watched it the first time around).

OMG.

Brb, shovelling a big slice of crow in my face right now.

Grah.

I want the DVDs now and everything. Have a song from the drama

Seriously, I don't know what's happening to me!

Send heeeeeelp!

But being clumsy is a personality trait, it doesn't necessarily mean anything else. I wouldn't really call that rescuing. To me, you have to be in danger to be rescued.

And I could never understand why she's criticized for it. Her tasering herself, getting something in her eyes, etc. are just due to her clumsiness, but she's competent enough in other ways. What about her saving her brother's career, TK's life, tries to help TK when's he's sick from eating seafood, finds him when he's lost, and works at the orphanage?

Personally, I find Mi-Ho in MGIAG a much more problematic character. Yeah, she's a gumiho, but still, her only goal and concern in life is her man. Kinda sad.

Not to be overly pedantic, but clumsiness is an issue with mental organization of your body, motor skills, and immediate spatial awareness. It has nothing at all to do with general competence or ability, or personality for that matter.

That said, while I haven't seen the drama and it's never really interested me, most of what I've heard from both fans and detractors sounds more like carelessness and lack of forethought or critical thinking.

You're right, I think it's more a character trait, not personality.
