The height of perfection beyond my dreams

Initially, this was going to be a post encompassing all of episode 12 of City Hunter but I have 2500+ caps (!!!!!) to sort through and my meta keeps going up and up. So expect a proper post around the weekend, but for now, have this scene from the first ten minutes. I have never seen anything so romantic in the entirety of the kdrama existence - nothing that had that combo of acting, meaning, cinematography, raw chemistry, and catering to my kinks.



















































































































On the umpteenth rewatch what struck me the most was that gesture of her extending her hand from the gurney - because it's such a huge leap of faith and show of vulnerability and need as she doesn't know he loves her. And the way he looks up at her, adoringly but also with guilt because he feels unworthy.

And I haven't even gotten into the backhug or bandage-changing or the hairwashing (hairwashing!) or the groceries (way to get YS to eat veggies? Call him Nana's husband :P) or anything else in this episode that is pure amazingness of Yoon Sung/Nana. He shines like a new penny when she is around because that is the first time he feels secure and loved.

I'll get to all the wonderful other stuff on the weekend, hopefully you guys will still care :)

I know. I was grinning like an idiot through the bulk of it. When YS lets go of his barriers, he really lets go. I guess it shows how hard it was for YS to keep her at arm's length when we see how happy and natural he is around her.

The scene where he was all catatonic, rocking her. Oh my God. I really believe that if she died then, he would have lost his mind.

He's totally like a different person when she's around. I miss that YS. It's awesome to see all sides of his personality coming together with NN knowing who he really is. He finally admitted to himself he couldn't live well without her. *squee* Doesn't that make you giddy??? ^_^

BRRRR... I just shudder at the thought. If NN died, literally all hell will break loose. YS will be unstoppable. He'll be soulless, pretty much. In my head, he would wipe out everybody on his list and end his misery by offing himself. *shudders again* Sorry for my active grim imagination. Good thing she survived, made the fandom breathe a huge sigh of relief plus made it all up with a whole bunch of sweet scenes.

Yes, agreed. He'd kill the five targets and their henchman and would then probably blow his brains out. Undaddy's ideal son except he'd probably kill Undaddy too. He really did look like he lost his mind there.

I know! I love that he doesn't have to hide anything around her any more and can be a real real self around her. I want her to learn more about his history too - ahjusshi is good at letting slip tidbits and he told her to ask YS about the death of his surrogate mother so I can see them talking about a lot of stuff. I really want her to learn that he kept her pic in the jungle.

YES TO THAT! It's secretly been in my mind. I want NN to know that YS already liked her then. If that happens, poor YS, he's totally defenseless against her. LOL...
