First, to cheer self up after angst in ep 21 of Young Warriors of the Yang Clan,

I looooove Eighth Sis. She can get even to the reserved Four. Heee. She's basically the Yang family secret weapon. This scene made me LOL and awww.




















How I adore Seven and his goofy faces and his sunny loving personality and his optimism and his loyalty. LOVE.





And among sibling relationsips I adore are Six and Little Sis (I think she's the closest to him of all the brothers because he can be so mischievous and is so easy-going yet grown-up) and Four and Seven because they are so close now and Seven makes Four crack up and Four teaches Seven martial arts, and it's a really adorable big bro/little bro relationship which is so huge from where they started and is all thanks to Seven.








Four looking happy. I love how he slowly and gradually accepted his family and became this relaxed and better-adjusted person who smiles occasionally (though he's still a lot more terse and tense than the rest of his siblings).



Actually, I am forced to conclude that Four is currently my favorite brother, followed by Seven then Six. But that is bound to change because I seem to favor whichever brother(s) the story focuses on and it's been rather Four-centric lately. The moment it switches to Six or Seven, I bet that brother will become my fave :)






And speaking of Six, I love him and his "non love" with Princess Chai. Dummy, please realize you love her asap.





Awwwww. I love Mama Yang and Four interactions because it's clear she's the happiest to see him back and he craves her love the most (I mean, sure, he wants Daddy Yang and siblings' care, but not as much as Mama's).





Now, to a normal person, h/c isn't a happy scene but since it all ends happily and adds a frisson of desperation to my OTP, I am all for it.





Six, how I love you and your brain and your awesomeness and your everything.



Please don't be sad, Seven, I can't bear it!

This isn't really a fluffy scene but I like the cap of four brothers together. I wonder if Four and Five will ever like each other. Hmmmm.



Note to self - be grateful there isn't a large English-language fandom for this out there. The incest slash fanfic would be through the roof.




And speaking of Yang brothers, since I am the type of person who likes to retread things until they are dead and skeletal, I plan to check out Warriors of the Yang Clan (not to be confused with YWotYC), the twdrama starring Alec Su and Chae Rim and focusing almost exclusively on Four and his OTP, who in this version is Minister Pan's daughter (!!!!). I was browsing youtube for clips to get a better feel and found this. brb, loling (and swooning just a bit) forever.

I guess the importation of Chae Rim meant they simply had to have the infamous 'kdrama shower scene' or as close as they could get to it in a period cdrama. My interest = peaked. LOL. Though I have to admit Alec Su is very "neutral" for me - I don't find him sexy but I don't find him unattractive either. So it will all depend on how I like his character. Seeing his tendency to take baths with ladies nearby, I'll probably like him a lot :P

last but not least, finall found the gorgeous ending theme for Jade Palace Lock Heart. So good! Both the song and the clips they picked.

Seven ♥ I started watching this expecting to love Six the most because I love Hu Ge, but Eddie Peng stole the show for me. Loving your YWotYC posts, but haven't commented much, because it was a while since I watched it and can't remember that much.

I've seen Alec Su in a few dramas and am not a big fan of him, but I might check this out if you like it.

Seven really is so wonderful. I wonder what else Eddie Peng has been in because he totally won my heart in this drama.

I'm currently watching Alec Su in the original Princess Pearl (Huan Zhu Ge Ge), and I too feel extremely neutral about him. He's not particularly offensive, but nor is there anything about his performance I especially like.

He just comes across as very boyish which isn't something I go gaga over. His vibe seems innofensive and nice enough but nothing to make me obsessed or have a strong reaction. But we'll see once I watch a drama proper of his.

That scene with Eighth Sis totally killed me. Especially when she started tickling Four and everyone else. Four/Seven interactions are always wonderful too. I cracked up so hard during that scene where Seven was trying to get Four to train him, by doing goofy moves and making goofy faces. It seems that he's going off-screen for a good few episodes, though. :(

I grinned ear-to-ear when Seven and Eight bowed to Lady Doc and offered her tea as "4th Sister-in-law".

You know, I've been thinking, if they could clone a couple of Sevens and Eights and unleash them on the Liao, they wouldn't have to do this war thing anymore.

Also, they really need to keep EQ-challenged Five away from Four. I love him and his OTP (and please, Yelu Xie, nice try, but just REALIZE already that it's not going to work. Especially not when you keep her parents' murderer around with you. And Five is much cuter than you by virtue of being awkward. I'm sure there are nice Liao girls with strong personalities back home.).

I loved the bit with Eighth sis where she confronts Six over his whole "older is better" speech because that would mean she was the worst. LOL.

Seven and Eight are a deadly combo.

I love Five to bits. Love love love. Love his awkward courtship (he makes Six seem smooth), love his love for Eighth sis and his loyalty to his parents. But he and Four are like oil and water. Best kept apart.

Yelu Xie just annoys me. No, she is never going to like you. You are hereditary enemy who kidnapped her at one point and want to conquer her homeland. This is not going to work out. Plus, Five is so much cuter (agreed) and also on the same side she is.

LOL apparently I ended a sentence before it should be ended. I really meant, "I love [Five] and his OTP (), and he could be the top fighter in the realm and all, but he really is clueless when it comes to interpersonal relationships."

I was SOOOOOOOOO anxious during all those YLX/Blacksmith scenes. He's so much smoother than Five and I can see that he truly loves her, and she clearly isn't completely unmoved by him. Given how uninitiated Blacksmith is in matters of love and emotions and courtship, I wouldn't really blame her if she did cave. But DO NOT WANT. Five, you really need to make a move asap. I know you have personal differences with Four, but maybe you can learn from him on that front. Going by seniority you're up next anyway. So JUST ASK HER.

lol the alec su version, i saw this years ago in preference over the peter ho version i am currently marathoning. lol i remember the theme song!

i grew up with alec su on tv and the radio, and the first drama he did was HuanZhu ge ge i think, where i thought he acquited himself quite well. i think he's ok in most things, although i think his small stature and boyish face really limits him.

He does look very boyish. It doesn't make me swoon all over him (I like my drama guys as angsty studmuffins most of the time :P) but it doesn't bother me either. We'll see how it goes.

The height thing doesn't bug me - the big Bolly stars I love are all close to midget height :P
