Sam Dong did kiss her first even though it was on the cheek. But ignoring kdrama rules, it's always been Jin Gook from the start (unless the writers pull a switcheroo) but all the tension is between them.

By kdrama rules it has to be on the mouth (now I am going to spend my time thinking if there are any exceptions to the kiss rule, hmmmmm - Queen of Reversals would fit the exception - she obviously kissed her husband before her ultimate otp) but rules or no rules, I really thought the drama was setting up JG/HM and then SD is K from day one. I don't really care too much (JG is a bit too issue-ridden and SD is way immature - I want HM to have a super-dedicated and awesome otp).

Well, JG and HM knew each other in childhood, which, by K-drama rules equals ultimate OTP. But, to be frank: I just don't care either way. I do wonder how a singer becomes 'K' unless they are in the 'K' group.?

Yup, they got into a fight (about his lack of goals) and I really liked it. Because it's true - he's sweet and talented and a lovely lovely person but he's not driven at all. Now kiss and make up, kids!

It was clearly Jin Gook from the start, judging by the titles. same was in Chuno.

Jdramas don't give obvious clues in cast listings, but Kdrama definitely do. The only exception is "The Perfect Neighbor ", but I have heard that the creators decided to "jump ships" because Park Shi Hoo was so popular (hehe, Park Shi Hoo seems to be the exception of the rules again in Queen of reversals) .

aww no! i don't have any problem with jinguk and i like him too but i don't want our poor precious samdong to end up deaf and alone. :( he's my fave.

i still have some hope for my samdong/hyemi otp though. =P kim soo hyun is the male lead and by kdrama rules the lead gets the girl, no? haha. i won't really mind that much if it's jinguk/hyemi though, i guess, if it will be them at the end.

man, this triangle is frustrating me. i prefer it when dramas establish the couple right from the start cause goddamnit i want to know who to root for! haha

Just watched ep 9 raw and we are not amused. Hanging around BaekHee is not good for JG, he's turning manipulative. That's how it looked like anyway. So... that scene may be just a continuation, set to irk SD.

Well there was no actual contact! Otherwise I wouldn't believe it until I've actually seen the scene. I agree with timescout, I think it might be a setup especially since Sam Dong is conveniently there to witness the kiss. Or it could be for real.

As a Sam Dong/Hye Mi shipper I hope that theres more to the kiss. Jin Gook still hasn't even tried to resolve the misunderstanding between himself and Hye Mi! So I'm too mad at him to even consider shipping them.

I don't ship Hye Mi with anyone at this moment. I did ship her with Jin Gook but he must decide what he really wants in his life and then I will ship them again. And Sam Dong needs to grow up. He is like a cute puppy and I wanna see the man in him. When he talked with JG I sensed different aura around him and it was good.

I'm a total lurker, but I had to come out for this -- The Kiss!!! I don't know what it means in the kdrama playbook, but when SD kisses HM on the cheek and her eyes fly open and she treats it like a joke. JG is going to kiss her on the lips and her eyes are closed, like she's waiting for the kiss. Those are two very different reactions to two very different kisses.

I am really sad for SD. He's cute and sweet, but I think he grows up to be K and that's pretty cool too!

Eagle eyed Baiduers have noted that Hye Mi looks like she is asleep in the ferris wheel, and that Jin Gook is stealing a kiss. Because her face is doesn't show any indication of anticipation, but is calm and placid.

Still hot either way, but totally different outcomes.

I can't say for sure what will happen on the ferris wheel - she's either closed eyed waiting for the kiss, or napping and JG cops a kiss (GOOD FOR HIM! He's been way too passive for too long).

I want this love triangle to be really serious - now that SD has stepped up (loved his intensity in ep 9), its time for JG to stop moping after HM and make a move himself.

Yes, if JG wants the girl, he should go after her. Otherwise he will have nobody to blame but himself if he loses her.
