Dream High's youngest and newest fan...
Jan. 22nd, 2011 08:49 am...is Baby Mousie, my 23-month-old daughter.
Heh.
It started innocuously enough - she was teething and cranky and I wanted to play some nice and cheery music for her but our electricity was out so no youtube or TV or radio was available. The only musical thing I could think of right away was the Genie number in Dream High.
So I showed it to my whiny, cranky darling and miraculously there was smiles and arm-waving.
So far, so good.
But now she insists on watching it every day, twice in a row (my question of "again?" is purely rhetorical at this point as she always responds "'gain"). She grabs my hand and tries to get us to imitate their hand gestures. And she claps during the break in the song and at the end, and yells "yay!!"
She likes some other musical/bright bits of the eps too (I tried out of curiousity) but not the way she does Genie.
And when I turn it off, she yells "bye bye" at them.
It's all amusing, but what is mildly worrying is that she's taken to calling Taecyeon "honey" - as when he's on screen, she goes "Hi, Honey!" And not just once or twice but often. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. It's a little disturbing. I suppose it could be worse seeing that she referred to Jang Geun Seok as "Mommy!" when I played her some musical clip from MSOAN a few months ago. Oh Good God, I am creating a kdrama/kpop fangirl without meaning to, aren't I? I play Russian songs and classical music for her too, honest. She hasn't addressed Karajan as "honey" yet though.

True fact - ringdingdong is my main ring tone. I have a highly developed sense of irony. Actually, my niece reprogrammed my ringtones, resulting in an incident last year where my phone suddenly started blasting "Almost Paradise" in the middle of an event. My other niece and I looked at each other and went 0_0 !! And dove for my tote bag at warp speed.
