Re: ROCH. omfg, she got raped???? But she thinks it was YG and he is clueless and so she thinks he is a total bastard and leaves? And he is off searching for her (still no clue).
Lady, I know you are unworldly, but if you are in the middle of the woods, why do you assume the guy coming upon you is YG if a. you never slept together before b. he puts a blindfold on and c. has YG ever been able to keep his mouth shut?
Finished Green Rose a few days back.
It was excellent throughout and (surprisingly) didn’t drag at the end despite its 22 episodes.
I find it interesting that at the end Jung-Hyun was persuaded to let go of revenge and it was the right thing to do because the ultimate thing for him to do was to live his life fully and happily: to recover his name, position, marry Soo-Ah. But of course vengeance still came after the guilty parties. The lawyer (whom JH punished) had to give up his worldly goods, the driver-arsonist-killer was not only beaten, he is now arrested for murder. Mr. Suh delivered a resignation letter and killed himself (he is the only one I felt the least bit sorry for, he was human) and the super bad guy, Hyun-Tae, got the most fitting punishment of all. He was driven to the same desperation Jung-Hyun was earlier and jumped off the building.
I have no idea if I was supposed to be feeling sorry for him or what. All I was feeling was a deep sense of satisfaction for his getting his comeuppance and a huge sense of ‘swoooooon’ as JH held Soo-Ah tightly to him so she wouldn’t have to see it (so Logan-Veronica).
Geeee, I wonder why she didn’t appreciate you, you nasty evil stalker killer guy who at the end stuck a knife to her throat? She must be crazy not to be in love, clearly.
I really loved the scene earlier, when he is finally cleared in court, and he looks over at her, and she is crying, oblivious to his looking at her, and mouthing ‘thank you’ over and over and he calls her by her name ‘Soo-Ah’ at last and OMG their faces and OMG OMG OMG and she runs into his arms crying ‘oppa’ and there is tight hugging and I am all squeeeeeeeeeee.
And of course the end, with the exchange of rings and spinny kissing. YES.
Also, am obsessed with Return of the Condor Heroes. If you want to check it out, I actually recommend going straight to the fourth ep and going from there, as the stuff before it is pure back story and features a kid that might drive you up the wall in annoyance (he didn’t bug me enough to really piss me off but I have huge tolerance for bratty kids, fictional or otherwise, and I still had no interest in him) and no male hotties. So getting through the first few eps is actually kinda a hard slog especially if you are like me and are unfamiliar with the (very famous in China) novel so you are going ‘huh? Who is this? What is his/her name? How are they related to him/her?’ etc.
But starting with ep 4, Hunk of Hunkiness is here (seriously, how did such an unappealing-looking kid with awful hair grow up into such a gorgeous guy with yummy hair? If that’s a side benefit of kung-fu, everyone should be mandated to study it), the pace slows down appropriately, and there is chemistry with his Teacher-OTP and angst and torture and shirtlessness…what was I saying? Sorry, I spaced out staring at him again.
All you need to know from the first three eps is that our protagonist Yang Guo was dumped by his guardian at some monk school for training but he and the monks fit together like oil and water* so he ran away and hid in a cave where the Lady of the Cave taught him incredible martial arts skills. And now he is grown up and the proper story is about to start aka they are going to fall in love (though I am not sure if she is mortal. In any event, she is five or so years older than him but she always looks the same as a side-effect of her ‘arts’) and there will be angst as it is MONDO forbidden.
*Honestly, the monks are loser jerks, but I can see why that kid would drive them up the wall. He was a total brat.
ETA: Jeeeeee-zus. The thread for ROCH at d-addicts is 85 pages. That never happens for non-Japanese series over there. Whoa.

Date: 2007-05-26 04:13 am (UTC)People NEVER age in cdramas...ever...not 5 years, not twenty, unless it's a child protagonist becoming an adult. Besides, Crystal Liu is made of porcelain so she'll never look a day over 18 anyway(seriously, just look at her...I always worry she'll chip...)
Lee Dong Wook: looks a bit like a younger Lee Seo Jin in that pic, to me(or maybe I'm just obsessed?)
You're going away for the weekend? wwwwhhhhyyyyyy? *lonely already* *ignores 50000000 other people who will be keeping her company to make Mousie feel guilty* *coughs pitifully*

LDW: You are right, he does. That's an extra goof thing.
Re: weekend. It's my bday on the 26th and we always go for trips on our bdays :) I don't think I'll have much net access but we'll see...

Date: 2007-05-26 04:25 am (UTC)"extra goof thing"? I think it's the mouth and chin...and they both have very "strong" faces(Lee Seo Jin's face is almost too strong to be "handsome" if that makes sense, but it only makes him even more good looking) They REALLY look alike if you look at Shadowless Sword pics, though, where Lee Seo Jin has the same hair style, almost.
Well...that's a suitable excuse, then...how old are you? And since it's the 26th in your time zone...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Date: 2007-05-26 05:25 am (UTC)Hmmm...does he look like LSJ in MG, too? Cuz I think a lot of it is the profile and hair...

Date: 2007-05-26 10:55 am (UTC)Profile is still the same in MG (Heh, of course), hair is a bit different.

Date: 2007-05-26 09:52 am (UTC)LDW. Yes. Though I do not like him right now for not having any dramas in the pipeline (he withdrew from that one he was doing, in case you didn't know, for reasons that seemed to be gently saying, "I thought the script sucked a lot"). Siiigh.
