Yes, I have a proper post, and will do replies to comments pronto.

But.

OMG OMG OMG OMG.

The words 'You are fucking hot' might have actually audibly slipped out when I was watching the end of episode 4 of Return of the Condor Heroes.

Oh my, oh my.

Somehow somewhere in the fourth ep Yang Guo slipped from cute but irritatingly hyperactive to focused and BRUTALLY hot.

Nothing will win you dangermousie's heart as being completely monomaniacal about killing the guy who hurt your OTP (even though you don't even realize she is an OTP yet) because she's asked you. And getting up, with a tear on your face because she is hurt and telling her to wait a moment and rushing the man with a sword. While shirtless.

Oh, I've been a good girl.

And that is my reward.

I am sure it says something disturbing about me, but I don't care. (Borne out by the fact that pictures of the actor in modern get-up are very nice as he is a good-looking guy, but don't do anything near the level of what his YG getup does).

Did I mention the fact that this ep involved them practicing a kind of kung fu that they can only practice without clothes? I am not kidding.

They give some sort of bogus excuse about blood flow and air flow, but come on.

I have to say that those scenes of them practicing at night are just gorgeous. They really look like some sort of a surreal post-modern ballet. So beautiful.

Oh, here are the drama's opening credits. So pretty.

Man, they were trying to give reasons for it and sort of pretend it wasn't sheer fanservice and I was all 'I don't care why. If you tell me the flying monkeys made you do it, I am OK with it too. I mean, why look gift horse in the mouth?'

Air flow, my ass. The director or whoever came up with that scene knew perfectly well what the ladies at home wanted to see. I also say that they should embrace that knowledge and have more episodes that feature naked Kung-fu-- or you know, just a naked Yang Guo is fine. I won't complain if they decide to go that way.

I agree, it's a brilliant idea. In fact, I think every ep should feature naked (or at least shirtless) Yang Guo.

It's a good thing Mr. Mousie wasn't home when that scene happened. I would have been in trouble :)

But OMG, I am on ep 5 now (and I posted about it separately) but OMG they are such an OTP!

You know, I've heard of this new version of Condor Heroes, but I never bothered to check it out, because so many of my friends are ridiculously loyal to the earlier versions and warned me against it. Your very enthusiastic posts have got me intrigued, though, so maybe one of these days I'll check it out. :)
