Drama love

Am though ep 4 of Orthros No Inu and continue to love it. It is still all about Ryuzaki for me - half the time I am repulsed by him, and the other half fascinated and a little sad - and every time I think I get the grip on what makes him tick, he does something else that throws all my presuppositions off - like the scene in the hospital with sick kids - I was so sure he was yanking Aoi's chain and wanting him to kill. Maybe in part to get some rough justice, too. I wasn't even surprised he healed that kid in exchange as he promised (though I loved that I did not know whether he would or not). But he's also healed all the kids in the ward and that wasn't part of what he bargained for or anything like that - it seemed a genuinely good deed.

My badwrongiwantit ship continues to get fueled by the evil evil drama:

(And then she snaps the cuffs on him. LOVE YOU, HASEBE!)

Because I love men interacting with kids :P

And then we got to the end of ep 4 and a lot of things suddently made sense and I felt very very bad for Ryuzaki. He's not a nice person but my heart did break for him a bit. I can see why it wouldn't give one a rosy outlook on life.

Augh, you tempt me so, but I know I'll go crazy in the wait. I'm trying to hold out until it's fully subbed.

5 episodes (of 10) are subbed at the moment and ep.6 subs will probably appear tomorrow, so there's only a few more weeks until it's going to be fully subbed.

It's all about Ryuzaki for me too. I only wahtch this drama to see what will happen to him. you should see the end of ep6. his memory of his mom leaving him is so emotionoal i don't know he did they make that young Ryuzaki acts this good and natural. tears were runnig from my eyes.
even though i don't want to think about it from now but somehow i have feelong that it will end in tragedy. I really hope that i am wrong. i don't want Ryuzaki to die

It's interesting - I started out fascinated by his character but also strongly disliking him - what kind of person would calmly stand there and watch people die when he knows he can help? But by now (end of ep 4) I really actually get where he is coming from - from his perspective, he's seen precious little to indicate humanity's goodness - all he's seen is desperate people wanting to manipulate him. That can understandably sour him on people. I can't say I find his actions praiseworthy but I do understand where he is coming from.

I mean - the slimy ex-cop went so far as to stab three people in front of him just so he'd heal them on videotape (and presumably make the cop a fortune). WTF? He's not a good person in the least but his environment made him so.

Ryuzaki is my main reason for watching this as well. I like how they slowly reveal more about what motivates him, but he still remains quite unpredictable and mysterious at the same time.

Like [livejournal.com profile] issy_chan, I too suspect all this will end in tragedy, because Ryuzaki and Aoi's powers are both too disruptive and powerful for the normal world.

Icon!

Yeah, I am pretty sure both Ryuzaki and Aoi are goners.

I basically want Mio's asthma to be gone and for her and Hasebe make it through alive - hopefully because I wish so little, it will happen :)

Heh, the icon is made from Takki's Sha La La/Mugen no Hane solo single cover (or one of them). If you want to see all the covers, go here: http://takki.us/reviews/3174 :).

Yes, Hasebe will probably make it out alive and I have a very strong suspicion that Ryuzaki will cure Mio's asthma at some point. Then either of both of the guys will sacrifice himself/they will kill each other/Hasebe will kill them/something else :D...

Is it weird that I'm kinda getting a Mawang vibe from this show? I mean it does feature two guys who are diametrically opposed to each other and a woman who ends up caught in the middle. I haven't even started watching this and I can already feel that NONE OF THIS IS GOING TO END WELL vibe.
