seven_trees's post has alerted me to something pretty darn awesome fact: the 2003 kdrama Punch has finally been subbed.

I have been dying to see it for aeons. First off, there is a plot: Joo Jin Mo plays a formerly successful boxer who gives it up after an opponent dies in the ring. Shin Min Ah is an aspiring female boxer and Joo Jin Mo becomes her coach. Eventually they fall in love. Did I mention that SMA had an older boxer brother who died during a match...I think you see where this is going. Mmmmmm. Plot is written just for meeeeee! Add to it the fact that SMA is likely my favorite Korean actress and that after Fashion 70s I have developed a thing for JJM, I am very very set.

SMA is my favorite asian actress and I'll watch anything with her in it, even if it is a pile of steaming shit. I saw this but was so depressed that it wasn't subbed as the plot sounded exactly like what I needed. But it's subbed?

Yay! Another Punch fan!!

Just to clarify something in case there's confusion: the subbers working on this have only released up to episode 9 so far, and that was a year ago (the uploaders on aznv.TV are a bit behind). However, your timing couldn't be more perfect! I *just* received word from ce.ar that they're going to resume subbing on this drama again (I've been doing QC work for Punch since around Episode 3). So, really, I'm just as excited as you are! I've been waiting for over a year to resume working on this thing, lol!!

I can't wait to see it to its finish. This drama is what made me a Shin Mina fan. ^_^
